[Kat's busy digging through her things, looking for the notes she knows she has for a pretty decent chariot design, when she finds someone's journal in with her stuff.]
[Except it has her name and some sort of call number on it, and it talks. Of all the strange things that had been happening lately, this was pretty high on the list.]
[A quick inspection of the thing definitely has it as some sort of communication device, and she hears some of the other campers, and while a lot of it made sense -- talk of the protest, classes, that sort of thing -- there was a fair bit that didn't. Curiostiy meant that she only paused briefly before clearing her throat and speaking into it.]
Anyone have any idea how this journal found itself in my possession?

As for why you have it? It's because it's yours, Kat.

I think I would have remembered owning a talking journal.

How about Reach or Noble Team?

I met a woman here, said she was Noble Six ...

You knew these things before...

[Carefully, since now she's starting to connect the dots but they're still not making a clear picture,] What are you trying to say, Washington? Things I knew before what?
no subject
Then I saw you again here.

You're not making any sense. What 'castle'? [She's unsettled, though, because some small part of her wants to agree and she's still not sure why.]

[He's trying to not push it, as impatient as he is feeling.]

Same way we all got ours, of course. You must have noticed everyone else here has one.

[This guy, for instance. For some reason she keeps thinking of the number 12 being somehow associated with him.] So, who are you?
no subject
[Except her, she had always called him--] My callsign's Foxtrot-12.
no subject
You're ... green? [Somehow that seemed pertinent, just as '12' had, but it was getting more and more frustrating that she felt there was something she should know that she just didn't.]

Well, I'm from Earth, actually. But I've spent a lot of time out in space. Travel in cryo, drop down to a planet for missions, train on the Mother of Invention. Lot of work, but someone has to do it. Me and my team got to test a lot of equipment so it could be deployed in the field.
