[A new day brings new elders. They are certainly unlike the elders of previous days.

There are also a great number of spirits wandering the castle grounds. They are not elders, but wolves. They shift between spirit and corporeal, appearing quite menacing to some. Still, they wander about with little to no acknowledgement of the residents.



A rather peculiar day indeed.]

[The twins inch closer to Toothless, and although Len is hesitant, Rin speaks up, not knowing whether or not this creature can or will answer her.]

Wow... what are you?

[Oh, they're joined! The concept of a creature with two heads isn't surprising to him-- the Zipplebacks back home were a prime example-- but he never thought he'd see it reflected in humans.

His voice is really a manipulation of growls, hums, and other draconic sounds-- which sound remarkably close to English, given that the nightfury's voicebox was never meant to be used in such a fashion.]

[Rin positively squeals.]

A dragon! A real, live dragon!

I wonder if it's safe...

[Even for all his guardedness, Len can't help but ogle Toothless, too.]

[Since Len seems to be a bit put off by his intimidating looks, he opts to pull himself closer to Rin, reaching out and sniffing her face, allowing her to touch his nose if she so desired.]

[Rin giggles and does just that, lightly touching the dragon's nose with her fingertips.]

You're so cute! Do you live in this castle, too?

[He gives a noise of affirmation, coupled with a nod.]

So do we--my brother and me. My name's Rin, and he's Len. We haven't lived here very long though. Just about a month.

[She doesn't really see anything odd about babbling at a dragon.]

[Her, and a fair bunch of the residents.

Also, ah, numbers. Math is not this night fury's strong point, especially considering he has no concept of what a month is! 'One' is a small number, though, so he understands they are fairly new.

Curious, he gives a soft hum as he turns his head toward Len.]

[Len's eyebrows furrow.]

H-hi.

I'm not... as talkative as she is.

[Rin rolls her eyes.]

That's an understatement.

[Toothless gives one of his gummy smiles™. No worries, bro, he's not either.]

[Len offers a half-smile in return. He won't be admitting it out loud any time soon, but Rin's right--this dragon is pretty cute.]
