Wow, you've got all kinds of company. That's great! I've only got one friend from home, here: my old college buddy, Pete. But I've made so many friends here that it doesn't bother me too much, most of the time.

College? It's a kind of school, but you go for four years to learn a lot about a specific thing. Ideally, people go to learn about what they really want to do for a living, but ... not everyone knows what they wanna do, right off, so most people end up learning a little bit of everything. Or changing their minds part of the way through.
