Dear Shining Armor,

Twilight Sparkle is an intelligent, diligent pony with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and one who doth not hesitate to share her gifts with others. She is young, but no less mature and trustworthy than any inestimable ponies I have met. Forsooth, I would not be writing this if not for her.

Thou shouldst know the story of the Elements of Harmony and their fight against Nightmare Moon – against me – but I am unsure how thy memories were affected in that regard. Thy sister beareth the Element of Magic, the elusive element that bindeth all the others. ‘Twas the bravery and the determination of Twilight Sparkle and her friends that led them to traverse the dangers of the Everfree Forest – all to find the long-forgotten Elements and to return the sun to the world. This would have earned them any number of accolades from any number of sources, but I believe none are more grateful than me. In defeat, I found freedom from a cage of my own making and wholeness in what was simply emptiness and broken things.

I am indebted to Twilight Sparkle; not only was I saved through the actions of her and her friends, but she reached out a hoof in friendship when I had little right to it. I am honored to call her a friend and I believe thou wilt soon come to believe the same, if thou wilt give her a chance.
