1/012: Dead at night.
[It's dead at night. The kind of night where everyone should be sleeping.]
Clock:
[Wheatley's voice would be something of a harsher tone, through gritted teeth. Something's bugging him.]
"M-mate, I know it's late... but... I'm at a dillemma here.
I figured I could... huh, use a little bit of guidance. From you. Seeing as you'd be the best person to ask."
[He clears his throat.]
What's a good way to... no no...the best way, well to put it blatantly...
Murder someone?

"...I-"
[He stops, nods a quick nervous nod at Zelman, and then steps back to give him his space.]
"Alr-alright mate. Thank you. Th-thanks... I really actually don't know what I was just thinking there. We should... get going! Yes. Definitely."

Flattering. So tell me, what are your plans? What do you want?

[He puts his hands in his pockets. He looks at Zelman for a thoughtful moment. Wheatley was about to answer his question, when... suddenly a new question entered his mind. You can tell by his face that his question was getting up to his answer...]
"Did you hear about that slaughter, mate?"
no subject
Are you talking about that guy they found out in town?
no subject
[He clears his throat.]
"Without a trace too. The guy who did it really knew what he was doing.- Oh, what am I doing. Here I am, t-talking about some other bloke to you. Sorry mate. Just--"
[He sighs, pushing his hair back.]
"No traces. Back where i come from, we only had turrets, neurotoxin and really spikey plates to kill with. As you can see, V' got none a' those here. D'love to meet the guy who did it. I called you here cause I was... uh, hoping you'd help me find him... and turn a few heads. I want that bloke to teach me how to really get people without a trace. Too many ears listening in the castle. A-Always someone behind the corner."

That's funny.

[He raises an eyebrow. Wheatley didn't find it completely hilarious, like he did. But still, he didn't quite understand the emotions too well, so he stares at his friend rather blankly.]
"W-What's so funny, mate?"

...
What?
Wheatley... is just staring at Zelman... in disbelef. His voice falls low. Very low. It's barely a whisper.]
"...A-Are you serious, mate? Are you-- No, you're joking."
[He's at a shock... Wheatley shakes his head and chuckles.]
"You're serious, aren't you."
no subject
Very serious.

[He's staring at him still. He sounds so happy right now.]
"You know what you are, mate? A weasel! A fox! You've got the whole castle going up and down, scrambling for anything that they can get to catch you."
[A beat.]
"Your secret's safe with me."
no subject
[he doesn't know that at all, but a little flattery never hurts. it's certainly making him feel pretty awesome.]
