[she sounds exhausted, weary to her core, when she finally gets a hold of her journal. She also sounds desperate. The fact that she woke up to absolutely nothing about the world making sense--trapped like a political prisoner, Spike acting like he's insane--really helped her pull herself together a little. She'll deal with why she's in the clinic later. Right now, all that matters is that she can get out of it.]

I will pay someone to get me out of here. Caisos, diamonds, whatever you want. Just... get over here now. ...Please.

[That's when a male voice interrupts out of nowhere, suddenly very close by.]

You could pick up better reading. [Plucking the journal from her hands!] You're supposed to be resting, you know.

--Hey! Give that back! [...it'll take her a minute to get that journal back]

[He holds the journal away, actually looking a bit concerned. All that time he spent trying to get in to see her has obviously worn down his nerves.]

[reaching for it again, a little feebly. between her physical state and Spike's insanity, she's getting pretty worn out]
