[ The journal is picking up the sound of a new arrival. Yay, don't you just love new people? New people who sound confused, as expected. Though maybe not as confused as they should be. This isn't the first time Lucy's been swept away to another world alone. ]

Nnh... what... [ A pause. ] E-Eh!? Where...

What is this? This isn't my room... this isn't Magnolia. ... no way, are we still... in Edolas? ... ... no, that's not possible. I remember going back through the Anima with everyone.

But then... [ How did she end up here? Was it another Anima, that triggered somehow? Hadn't Mystogan closed them all? ]

Hello? [ Her voice is fainter now, accompanied by footsteps as she tries to poke around, testing the door and finding it open, then peering outside. ]

Is anyone there? ... Natsu? Gray? Erza? I'll even settle for Happy! [ The brat cat. She returns to her room after a few seconds silence, and there is a jingle of keys, and the sound of her settling on the bed. ]

[ Surprisingly, Lucy takes the idea of magic books well. They have magic powered crystal balls that do similar things after all. ]

[ If the books were capable of sharing images, she'd smile. Smile in spite of her worries, wondering where her friends were, how she ended up here, and how to get back to rejoin her nakama. ]

Ne, Arya - what is this place? It isn't anywhere I recognize.

[ Matter-of-fact tone: ]

It's called Paradisa. It's a completely different world. We're all brought here by the castle so it can feed on our souls. It grants all sorts of wishes and people can come from the future or the past and the dead only stay dead here for two weeks.

[ ...no one let her give the intro ever again. ]

[ It's a lot to take in, but clearly Arya is knowledgeable. Or trolling. Or both. ]

Wait, wait -WHAT?- Feed on... on our souls? How can a castle eat souls!? [ Nevermind she needs that soul to live! ]

[ Nonsense, Arya is the best intro-giver ever. ]

[ Or that's what the big book said and who's going to argue with the contents of a book big enough to flatten a child. ]

A-ah, yes, I get that part but -where in Fiore is the castle? Or is this Edolas?

[ She's not one to just take someone's crazy theory at face value - now if this is multiple people's crazy theories, that's another thing entirely. ]

[ It didn't make any kind of sense. Castles don't eat souls. . . .of course castles don't normally kidnap people either. The journal picks up the sound of some rummaging, and a symbol is neatly sketched in a blank corner of the page. ]

You can see this right? It's the symbol of my Guild - is there a building with that mark anywhere around here?

[ Well it certainly beats getting vague and unhelpful responses. E-even though the ones she's getting are kinda ...short. But that's okay! ]

[ Even though she had a bad feeling there /wasn't/ a way, given that she ended up here against her will to begin with. ... ]

[ She's silent for a few minutes, letting the gravity of that thought sink in. She was kidnapped to this place that... if she was to believe Arya, ate souls. And she was here, alone. ]

[ The thought that she wouldn't ever see her friends again - her teammates, or even her father has yet to really hit. She didn't want to believe she was trapped here. ]

They won't. The people who've left here and come back say they return to when they came. The others never noticed they were taken.

[ Well that's... one small - no, BIG relief, if that's the case. She sighs faintly; on the one hand, she's glad that her friends, nakama, wouldn't worry about her going missing. If time just stops... still it bothered her. ]

So then there is a way to go back home.

[ Apparently those who haven't just...chose not to? Maybe they didn't have anyone or anywhere to go back to. ]

But there is a way. It's just a matter of finding it - a voluntary way, I mean. Although... things are never that easy.
