1st Summon - Accidental voice
[ The journal is picking up the sound of a new arrival. Yay, don't you just love new people? New people who sound confused, as expected. Though maybe not as confused as they should be. This isn't the first time Lucy's been swept away to another world alone. ]
Nnh... what... [ A pause. ] E-Eh!? Where...
What is this? This isn't my room... this isn't Magnolia. ... no way, are we still... in Edolas? ... ... no, that's not possible. I remember going back through the Anima with everyone.
But then... [ How did she end up here? Was it another Anima, that triggered somehow? Hadn't Mystogan closed them all? ]
Hello? [ Her voice is fainter now, accompanied by footsteps as she tries to poke around, testing the door and finding it open, then peering outside. ]
Is anyone there? ... Natsu? Gray? Erza? I'll even settle for Happy! [ The brat cat. She returns to her room after a few seconds silence, and there is a jingle of keys, and the sound of her settling on the bed. ]
At least I still have these... but the others, are they really not here? [ A pause, and the journal is spied - her voice is closer as she collects it. ]
Who left this book here?

Who left this book here?

dictated;
dictated;
Heeh? Who said that?
[ Because Lucy is totally not looking at the journal right now, but scanning her room for intruders, someone lurking at the door or invisible soldiers. Okay not so much the latter. ]
dictated;
There's an open book with you. It's magic. I'm talking to you through it.
dictated;
Open book - ah, this thing. ... wait, are you saying it picked up everything I said?
[ Well great! Now people think she's crazy, talking to herself. ]
Who are you?
dictated;
dictated;
[ If the books were capable of sharing images, she'd smile. Smile in spite of her worries, wondering where her friends were, how she ended up here, and how to get back to rejoin her nakama. ]
Ne, Arya - what is this place? It isn't anywhere I recognize.
dictated;
It's called Paradisa. It's a completely different world. We're all brought here by the castle so it can feed on our souls. It grants all sorts of wishes and people can come from the future or the past and the dead only stay dead here for two weeks.
[ ...no one let her give the intro ever again. ]
dictated;
Wait, wait -WHAT?- Feed on... on our souls? How can a castle eat souls!? [ Nevermind she needs that soul to live! ]
[ Nonsense, Arya is the best intro-giver ever. ]
dictated;
[ Or that's what the big book said and who's going to argue with the contents of a book big enough to flatten a child. ]

The castle.
[ Helpful! ]

A-ah, yes, I get that part but -where in Fiore is the castle? Or is this Edolas?
[ She's not one to just take someone's crazy theory at face value - now if this is multiple people's crazy theories, that's another thing entirely. ]
no subject
[ The best way to answer, as always, is directly! Bluntly, even. ]
It's another world.
no subject
Then... how do I get back to my world?
[ Even though she had a bad feeling there /wasn't/ a way, given that she ended up here against her will to begin with. ... ]
no subject
You don't. Not until they let you.
no subject
They? Who are "They"?
no subject
[ And the helpfulness stops! He sounds mildly sheepish about that, at least: not knowing stuff like that irks him just as much as not being able to tell others. ]
...whoever runs Paradisa.

A King or Queen then... No one has ever seen them? [ He... probably doesn't know that either. So she switches gears. ]
Sorry, my name is Lucy. Lucy Heartfilia. And you are?

I think I'm in the same boat as you. What's your name?
Re: [Dictated]
[Dictated]
[ Beat. ]
What's a Digimon?
Re: [Dictated]
Digimon are amazing. They're like living creatures made out of data.
[Dictated]
[ That's horrifying. ]
Made of data?
