So I've been thinking lately. As in ever since the whole Mirrorworld revelation came to light. It's one thing to suspect what this castle's getting out of us living here, but hearing it that way... Now that is useful information. Was that the castle that originally called her from home, did she say? Or the others such as John Hammond, perhaps?

No, that was Paradisa, as far as she seems to tell it. But they would visit.

Now that would be interesting. There's that other castle marked on the map, you know, but as far as I know it pushes visitors away. I wonder what was different at that time?

Maybe it's the personality of the place. It doesn't like visitors.

Or perhaps it fears we might steal away its residents.

After we brought Reno Browne here from the twin towns in the American West, a name appeared on a castle room's door for her. Likewise, returning with Roy Harper caused a similar phenomenon.

The castle sure likes to lay claim to people.

Exactly. And, you see, if the other castle fears ours might become so possessive....

Potential for territory wars.

Mmm-hmm. And can you imagine what sort of mess it would cause if, say, a friend from your own world were trapped in another castle?

If that sort of thing were going on, I'd be surprised we hadn't heard anything about it before now.

I rather suspect it does happen, you know, if for no other reason than that Roy Harper was known to some of the castle.

I wonder if there's some way we could use this all to our advantage.

It's likely there is. We've just got to keep gathering information.
