[ backdated to yesterday/hall filter ]
[ Having returned some of the books she borrowed from the library, Uru heads out the door and into the hallway. She stops in her tracks for a moment, tapping her chin thoughtfully.
Her stomach rumbles loudly. ]
Maybe I'll make something here before I go back to the apartment?
[ city filter ]
[ Despite the recent murder in the City Royale, Uru told herself she wasn't going to move back into her room in the castle. Unpleasant feelings aside, she's still bent on keeping her independence and she doesn't want to appear nervous -- not just before her friends at the castle, but the natives and her co-workers at the coffee house. That's no example to set, she thinks.
They never offer to walk her home when they do closing together. It doesn't bother her; she understands their caution to a degree. She waves cheerfully to them as they go in opposite directions anyway, putting the keys in her bag. ]
Congratulations on the good work today, everyone! See you tomorrow morning!
[ And off she goes. ]

he's really just waiting around, now. waiting for something to snap, for someone to catch him, maybe for someone to try and kill him. as such, he's not doing anything to hide, walking around the town the way that he usually does; he looks in shop windows, watches other people move about, sniffing around for something interesting to pass the time.
he probably notices Uru first, stopping in his course to see where she's going.]

She just goes on her merry way, humming aloud to herself and thinking about what she can make for dinner tonight. ]

That was a practical joke someone played, on everyone from my home. They wrote down the opposites of what people like, to try and get us all upset. .... It was actually pretty stupid of them.
no subject
Eh? Why would someone-- [ Oh... now she feels kind of silly. ]
... What a strange prank to pull.
