Hey, are you going to be around later? I've been doing some thinking, and... we really need to talk about something. [OOOH OMINOUS] I'll be home soon. I'm getting some plants for the house.

[Lloyd is in town today. Not much of a surprise, since he lives there. He's brought a cute little wagon to carry everything. A shopping cart simply won't do when one is shopping for potted plants and tiny trees, but he also has some high-quality cuts of wood in the back. Of course he has personal projects. Who doesn't?

[Remember how you threw a snowball at him back in December, Lloyd? Well...he hasn't forgotten. And even if he hates snow, this requires revenge.]

[You dick. Of course, Lloyd isn't expecting a surprise attack, so he just keeps walking.

He stops at one point to shift his grip on the wagon, and that's it.]

[Well if he was it wouldn't be a surprise attack! And during that pause, he's tossing a snowball straaaight at the back of his head before disappearing into the alley again]

[PIFF. The snowball explodes and gets coldness down into Lloyd's collar. HE IS NOT HAPPY. He drops the wagon handle and spins around, sputtering, and trying to find the suspect.]

W-what the heck?!

[For a moment he's terrified it's actually Martel come for revenge, and then he mentally kicks himself for thinking that.]

Who threw that?!

[wilder]

[no sorry Martel is the mature person from home. Zelos, runs into the alley- pausing to kick a dumpster so it rattles loud enough for even Lloyd to hear before he leaps up to someone's balcony and hides out of view again]

[Lloyd knows he's being baited-- and he rises to the occasion, dashing down the empty alley. He glances around, then realizes the only way to go is up. It hardly takes any effort for him to run up the wall and crouch on someone's roof, but even then, he doesn't see the culprit.

He didn't even see the balcony. LOL]

.... No trouble. Thank you. [ Does he sound distracted? It's because he is distracted. Duke's figured out that being blind does wonders for your sense of touch. ]

[Lloyd even closed his eyes and tried to navigate the staff blindly, just to make sure that it was easy to use and balanced. So that's good.]

[Oh hey. It's been a while since they ran into each other and there was no lengthy discussion on the taste of reptile delicacies.]

Allen! Hey!! [He grins and moves to meet his friend. When he's in range, Lloyd clasps his shoulder.] How've you been?

[Exactly! He smiles more when Lloyd does that. Such a friendly gesture!]

I've been well! How about you? Are you making an indoor garden?

Indoor garden? You mean like a greenhouse? [He shakes his head.] I just wanted to liven things up a bit. Dad-- er, my adoptive one-- he always had lots of plants and flowers in the house.

I kinda miss it.

I see...that does sound really lovely!

Do...Would you like some help hauling?

[He grins a bit.] It's not too heavy. [Probably because of the Exsphere, but still.] Moving them into the house will be faster with two people, though.

Huh? Oh, the flowers? I thought so too. The shop here's pretty nice!

It looks like it. [She recognizes that voice.] Lloyd? It's nice to finally meet you in person.

[Oh. So that's where he's heard her voice before. He blushes a little, then grins back. Phoebe is beautiful, kind, and wise. She reminds him of Lilia--]

Oh! Phoebe, right? [He holds out his hand.] Nice to meet you, too.

It's so much nicer actually meeting someone face to face.
