003 Summons (iJournal entry) ❈ Dictated

[Well, good morning, family! For those who are awake, you'll hear an embarrassed cough come over your iJournals followed by the voice of one accident-prone member of House Touchdown.]

Hey! Is anyone awake? Dad? [Yes, you, Travis!] Reno? Ray? Kaabii?! [By now, anyone who was asleep, shouldn't be anymore.]

I went exploring in the old large building on the other side of the lake, and well....the floor was rotted... [Does she really need to continue? And does she really need to ask for help?]

Yeah, that's where I am. And have been all night. [A beat.] Oh, stop laughing! [No one in particular, but she knows this family.]

Oh yeah, whoever was playing that music last night...it was nice...

[Transmission ends.]

Great! [He's glad he can relax a little, shifting back from the edge so she has room to get up.

Though he does ask] Need a hand or anything?"

Not yet. [Her voice echoes softly against the floor.] Just give me a sec...

[She manages to pull most of her body up, but with only one good foot, it becomes struggle.]

Now I need help...[Yep, she's embarrassed.]

'kay. [The slightly worried frown gives way once she asks for help.

He reaches out with a grin, holding out a hand. When she takes hold he'll pull her up and backward, other hand ready in case he needs to catch her or something]

Stop grinning, would you? [There's no heat in her voice, only wry amusement. Hey, she's almost out, so, she's allowed to start feeling good.

Since he has one hand, she uses the other to balance and pull herself up. He's lucky. She manages to get out--and stay out--of the hole. She lays face down for a moment before speaking.]

Heh, sorry. [But of course, it's hard to manage after she's mentioned it, so there's still at least a smile.

He lets go once he's sure she's up and can handle herself, sitting nearby.

Shaking his head] Was nothin' really. Glad you're okay and safe now though.

No you're not, but it's okay. [Yes, she chuckles, even as she remains laying face down.]

Sort of okay. My ankle hurts and I got attacked by my own flashlight. [Another chuckle and her tone is wry and sarcastic.] I'm almost afraid to move...

[Oops, caught! But at least she's laughing so that's okay]

Heh. [Clumsy much? Though he... wouldn't be one to talk] If anything I can carry you back. Don't wanna make your ankle worse than it is already by walkin' on it.

[Of course, she's laughing; she's out of that hole.

And clumsy a LOT, by the way.]

Nnnn...You mean I gotta get up? [Her tone is humorous, mimicking the one kids use when they don't want to go to school.] All right, give me a minute.

[She wants to test her ankle after lying still for that short time. Yep, it's stiffening already.]

Okay, you win.

[He can't help but grin when she's joking around like this]

You could stay here but I don't think it'd be a good idea. Unless you wanna fall again. [The floor really isn't something he trusts all that much now.

Snickering, he moves over] Can you get yourself on my back or should I just pick you up the other way?

[She groans softly but chuckles.] Stop making good points. I really don't want to go back down there.

Let me see if I can do this.

[She manages to sit up, but when she tries to stand...nope. Her ankle's not cooperating and she sits back down with a small groan.]

Looks like you're going to have to do it.

Alright, alright. Heh.

[Gathering and re-wrapping his scarf around his neck, he looks a bit worried at the groan, but nods.

Coming closer, he scoops her up into his arms easily, before carefully making his way out]

Next time don't go off on your own, 'kay?

[Natsu lecturing, even casually so, is... just really ironic]

[Yeah, that groan is from the pain in her ankle. She's sure it's not broken, but as stiff as it is, she doesn't want to make it that way by putting pressure on it.]

Yes, Dad. [Her answer is wry as he picks her up, her arms going around his neck easily.]

But, seriously. Thank you. And I'm sorry about this.

[Dad? That has him laughing in amusement]

Don't apologize, it's nothing. [He shakes his head a little while he walks] Woulda felt bad if I didn't come help.

The name's Natsu, by the way! Guess we haven't met before.

Not as bad as I would have felt. [Yes, she's still joking, but it's a relaxed sort of mirth as she lays her head on his shoulder to rest.]
