[What do teenage brothers do at family reunions?  They take the first opportunity to disappear from wholesome family bonding and watch terrible movies.  Which explains why the snarky trio of Danny, Peter and Stiles are currently sitting in an empty cabin with popcorn in hand as the opening credits of the first entry in their monster movie marathon is projected onto the wall.]

This better not be as lame as the last movie you picked out. I mean, attack of the killer asparagus? Talk about boring

In my defense, I already knew that one was horrible. The only thing it's good for is tearing it down.  At least this one has werewolves, aliens and ghosts! At least one of the three has to inflict actual havoc. Not that werewolves are supposed to.

And here we end the oncoming werewolf rant before it even starts! Oh look, title sequence, you know what we should do? We should completely avoid the hour long argument that's about to start and watch the title sequence instead.

Hour? You're so exaggerating, the worst it's ever gotten is a half hour.

But that was when it seriously screwed up the werewolf lore. So I feel entirely justified in that.

It's just the credits. And I beg to differ. I distinctly remember timing you at one hour fifteen minutes.

Traitor. But that movie was wrong on so many levels.

It starred a thirty-five year old man playing a sixteen year old boy, so I can't technically disagree with you there.

Didn't you know? 35 is the new 16.

I can accept nineteen to late twenties as a teenager. That's potentially convincing. That? That wasn't even trying. In mythology or acting.

[ Scoffing at Danny's comment, and trying to ignore Stiles' comment about Mythology. ]

I don't know, the wrinkles did make him very distinguished. Maybe we aren't giving him a fair chance to prove his youthful... youthfulness.

Good thing we don't watch these for the acting skill. Or logic.

....And don't even start on the mythology again.

We're here to poke fun at the sheer ridiculousness of what's on screen. And eat popcorn.

[Speaking of, he'll pull out the big bag of it that he brought just for this occasion.

Avoiding the myths, since he's the only one who cares. How is he related to you guys again?]

Either way, Peter's reaching over to try and grab the bag. ]

[ Looking over at Danny when he's pretty sure Stiles isn't looking at him, and nodding. SOMEONE understands not wanting to listen to Stiles werewolf rants ]

[Danny gives Peter a barely concealed thumbs up. Mythology was boring. Especially when it was just the same complaints over and over again.]

Ditto on the popcorn. And you know, the constant mocking of men in poorly designed rubber suits.

It's like making a biologist watch a scientifically inaccurate film, okay?

[Stiles is keeping the bag. It gets to sit in the middle with him.]

They are really awful suits. Can't argue with that.

[webbing]

You've done that to me before.

[ More of a chemist than a biologist, but he remembers some bad ones.

He gives up trying to take the bag though and just grabs some popcorn. ]

And I don't know, I kind of like some of them.

Can you call any film scientifically accurate? (Danny asks the question with mock solemnity. He wasn't a scientist like Peter was, but he'd never yet seen a movie that got the astronomy right. Much less ghosts. Never stopped him from mocking them.)

You like them? Did you hit your head recently? They're supposed to be terrible.

(Danny reaches over to grab some of the popcorn.)

Only the documentaries, and even then there's still a chance of screw up.

[He'll shoves some popcorn into his face. Delicious popcorn]

He could like it for how awful they are.

There's usually screw up.

[ Shoving at least half his handful into his mouth before pointing at Stiles when he makes the comment about liking them for how awful the costumes are, looking at Danny, and actually trying to avoid talking with his mouth full. ]

Mm-hmm.

You have restored my faith in your sanity.

[Eating half a handful and concealing the rest for later popcorn throwing.]

We were worried for a second there.

[he'll bump his shoulder against Peter's]

[ Rolling his eyes as he finishes his mouthful of popcorn. ]

Yeah, I'll bet.

[Danny ignores both of them.]

Just how long are these credits, anyway?

[imalwaysright]

I don't know. It was on his computer. [He'll glance over at Peter.]

[webbing]

Foooouur minutes? They wanted to be able to play out the entire opening song uninterrupted.

[Danny cringes.]

No accounting for taste. Thirty seconds was probably enough.

It is B-grade.
