I feel like something strange happened a while ago...but I'm not really sure what it was. I remember being able to see, though. 

It's kind of weird, isn't it?  Maybe the castle did something again.  But whatever it was, I'm glad to be back.

Hm. I do not think you should. There is a cost to knowledge, some greater than others.

But I thought being smart was a good thing.

It is, but know that being smart, and being wise, are often different things. With different benefits and different failings.

I don't know much about being wise, but I know my friend Weiss is really smart, and it seems like a good thing!

You are right in that it is good. But the ends will always be separate from the means, and the process of learning may not always be good.

...I don't think he said anything about learning being bad. If you read a lot, or if people read to you, it's fine, right?

Have you ever heard the line "what is learned cannot be unlearned"?

Then make note of it. Because aside from the unlikeliest of circumstances, the phrase stands true.

[Damn it kid, you're gonna endear yourself to him] So it would seem. And perhaps, you are wiser for it when you seek to learn more.

I think I get what you mean, a little bit... so if I get wiser, then I can learn more?

Hmm. Rather, the wiser you are, the more you will take away from what you learn. For better and worse.
