Sorry I haven't been around or talking much, the Castle turned me into a plant for quite a while there. What did I miss?


[Martel's in the kitchen today, trying to make herself a cup of tea. She's opted to not use the microwave, because god knows what could happen, so she's instead boiling water on the stove. Feel free to walk in?]

[Just wandering in to find a good vase to use for his rose (even though it looks as healthy as ever, he's still quite paranoid that something horrible will occur to it), but when he sees Martel, he stops, giving a little wave.]

Oh, it's you! Martel, was it? I...I think we talked during camp that one time, didn't we?

Yes, I'm Martel. ...Garry, right? [She's usually pretty good at names. And then she sees the rose.] Is that a living rose?

[And then when she mentions the rose in his hand he suddenly flushes pink, as if he accidently blurbed some horrible secret, and glances away.]

Oh? Yeah. It's, um, it's a real one. Even though blue roses aren't technically supposed to exist in real life...

...Well, you're going to need something to keep it in, if you want to keep it alive. [And she's opening the cupboard directly above her, looking for a vase.] And blue can't be that uncommon a color, can it?

Oh, well, it's a special sort of rose. It can't stay in a vase for too long...I have to keep it with me at all times.

[He wanders over to the cupboard next to her as to do the same thing, face still a bit red.]

It actually is pretty uncommon where I'm from! I think they have genetically engineered ones, but those aren't natural at all.

What kind of super powers could something that's purple possibly give you? [She's curious.]

Good question. Maybe something like...lightning powers? No, that's more blue than anything. Ooh! Poison abilities!
