A year can change your view on a lot of things can't it? [He's musing really but it's a fun thing to muse to the journal and he's looking for opinions.] Life, death and various relationships you may not have thought about more, especially when you are somewhere not home.

So my question for you is this; has your perspective about anything from your time at home, a relationship or event or some such thing, been changed with your time here?

In part, yes. Not only that it exists, but ... that it's a viable area of study in itself, and, even after being found to be fathomable, separate from science.

I'd have to say that seeing my parents here....and my relationship with the Doctor - both of them - has changed my perspective about everything. Including this place.

Specifically? I got to spend time with my parents that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Sure they didn't always know they were my parents...but still it was time I wouldn't have otherwise gotten with them.

The Lady is more than willing to share, but it has been quite some time since she has seen her dear friend in person. [Hint, hint.]

Yes I have spent an entire year here. [It's alright he's used to that, he acted the same way when he heard about others.] Though I know others have spent longer.

Such a long time. [ The idea frightens her, even knowing that her people will not be without her (though the details of that still confuse her). ]

I suppose it has made me grateful. I know many hate the Castle, and I have my moments, but... I am thankful it is giving me the extra time here.

I know that feel rather well, though it is a sentiment many seem to not understand.

I suppose for some the imminence of death is not so near a thing, is all. I envy them, that lack of understanding.
