[The first thing that catches her attention when she sees him is it looks like he's stepped out of a fucking Renaissance festival, and good god how cheesy is that? But, he's actually making those pants look good, so she'll let it pass.]

[She saunters up and leans against a bar stool next to him.]

[South grins back and tosses her journal on the counter, pulling the stool back to sit.]

Just because I said it doesn't mean I wanted it to be true. Girl's gotta protect herself, you know. You gotta name?

[He puts out his hand not to shake hers, but to take it.]

[She can't hold back a small snort, she's not used to being treated like this, really. She lets him take her hand.] Age-Dakota. South Dakota. Or just South. Or whatever.

[He presses a kiss to the back of her hand, and then grins. Whatever, he's stupidly overconfident, there's not a trace of hesitation.]

Dakota. An unusual name, compared to what I am used to, but lovely nonetheless.

Yeah, I bet. It's Native American. I mean, after the state, South Dakota, but the state is named after a Native American tribe or something. [She's blushing, though. Goddamn it's been a long time since anyone's wooed her like this.]

What's the story behind your name? [When the bartender comes over, she's just going to point at something on the drink menu, not very interested in taking her attention off Ezio for long.]

[He thinks that blush is cute :') He handwaves a drink, too -- wine, of course.]

"Ezio" is an Italian name for "Eagle." My family's name, "Auditore", means "listener" in the sense of how a judge might listen to a court. So, if you want to be funny, my name is "an eagle who listens and judges" or something... but we are not quite so literal. It just makes it easier to remember for non-Italians, I think.

I'll try to remember that. At least it means something cool.

Soooooooo, you been in the castle long? [South's no stranger to one-night stands and random hook ups, but usually it was more like hunting and reading her prey then setting up an appointment like this. She's fidgeting with the corner of her journal, suddenly wondering if drinks were a good idea or if she should just cut that part short.]

[He accepts his drink from the bartender and drinks.]

Almost nine months, now, so long enough to understand the swing of things. And you?

[His hand casually slides over to rest on her thigh.]

[South shifts slightly in his direction, feeling her face flush involuntarily at the contact. Dammit, normally she was much better in charge of her reactions in a situation like this. The whole pre-planning thing was throwing her off her groove.]

Uh, a couple wee-months. A couple months. Long months, it's been busy.

[He smiles.]

With all of the things the castle creates, it is difficult to be unoccupied for too long, hmm?

Yeah, unoccupied is not really happening. You want to get these drinks to go or what?

[Ezio chuckles, his thumb ever-so-slightly running back and forth.]

I am agreeable to it if you are. Where would you like to take them?

[South had the internal dilemma of being irked she wasn't in control and not really caring because hello hot guy stroking her thigh. The latter is what really colors her answer.]

I don't care, so long as it's close.

[His tone grows a little mischievous.]

There is a sauna within the pool room, if it pleases you, but if you are not feeling so adventurous, the stairs to my tower are just outside of the Lux.

[South grins and leans in conspiratorially. Okay, so he may throw her off track but at least he plays the games she's familiar with.]

Oh no, I'm adventurous. I would please me greatly to check out the sauna.

[He slides his hand up her thigh, as smoothly as if it were only a casual gesture, and then offers his hand to take hers and help her off her bar stool.]

We go to the saunas, then.

[South has herself another quiet oh hello moment, before taking his hand and hopping off the stool with purpose. She's mentally running through her list of successful flirtations, but he's already got her mind buzzing so that it's hard to concentrate on making things not seem like a half-assed attempt. She does hazard leaning in close to half-whisper in a sultry tone, fingers ghosting over his shoulder,]
