What is it like living in the city? Are there any advantages to it? Like a higher chance of avoiding 'losses' or 'events', or anything like that?

If you focus on the negative aspects of something, all you'll feel and think is negative. If you try and find the positive in something then you'll feel and think positive.

It's kind of like if you believe you will fail at something, chances are you will end up failing simply because you didn't think you could succeed. Your mindset is an important factor in life!

... But emotions aren't supposed to influence decisions that much. It's all supposed to follow logic.

The basic idea to living is town is to be able to be more self-sufficient. Less wishes. No ghosts. That sort of thing. You usually have to work, to pay for it, though. Unless you have a generous friend. The upside is yeah, you get to avoid whatever the castle does inside it's own walls, but I've had it bring me back twice so far, so you can't avoid the bigger things.

I'm not sure about the losses though. I haven't had one yet.

Are there as many people around in the city as in the castle?

The town's pretty big. There's plenty of townspeople, but the residents that live there are all pretty scattered.

I think there's a pet store somewhere. Not sure exactly where.

I've had a couple of friends who've moved into the city to avoid castle shenanigans, and they seem to be happy with their choice, but I think you're screwed either way. As far as I know, there's no real way to avoid losses or events.

Yup, I'm afraid it is. Have you got a job yet? You're going to need it if you're planning on moving out of the castle.

I don't, but I was only considering moving if it would benefit me somehow... Since I don't think it will, I will just stay here.

I've never considered moving out. I work at the clinic so it's easier for me anyways, especially if I'm on call. It helps to work and be self-sufficient though since I don't like depending too much on the castle for things. I don't know if you're old enough, but if you're considering getting a job, you should check out the job fair that's happening on Saturday at the ballroom.
