[There is the tap of the quill, before she scrawling in immaculate handwriting;]
Greetings. I would, again, like to extend my most sincere gratitude in allowing myself and my daughter to find hospitality in this strange new place. While I admit that I was very much dubious of both the working of this world and perhaps your initial intent, know that my thanks very much ring true. I hope the future serves you well.
[And a turning of the page before she writes yet again!]
My lady, I write to you requesting the pleasure of your company this afternoon. Apologies if this note finds you in the midst of a preoccupied hour.
[Good morning, residents of Paradisa. Have a pleasant, yet domineering voice filling your journals. It is the sort of voice that is solid with presence and demands your attention, even in spite of its seemingly casual subject.]
Strange how there is such a grandiose castle as well as a flourishing town, yet there have been no record of a single true ruler or heir to said land. As I am sure you can gather from my tone, such a thing is an impossibility where I am from.
It is unthinkable to have a castle with no dedication to it, in the sense that a person is designated to make sure everyone around are doing their fair share. Though, surprisingly enough, it is quite the achievement that there is much-- [Hmm.] social agreement for lack of a governing force. Ah, aside from the magics of the castle itself.
Though, if there is... some semblance of order for which any of you would like my advisory skills... by all means, implore me. I've quite the experience under my belt. I'd hate for it to go to waste, considering how much like home this is.
[An awkward pause.] Again, barring the magics of the castle itself.

We've a brigade policing the actions of the other residents? I've heard nothing about such a thing, save a few renegades.

It was some pop culture sarcasm for you. There used to be a Peace Patrol, but they threw their cards in a few months ago.

I am beginning to realize that, to my admitted dismay. [Pause.] Might I ask the land from which you hail?

The pleasure would be mine. [She's a little surprised, but not terribly. It has almost been like encountering someone from home.] What plans did you have, Your Grace?

Thou art very welcome, 'though 'twas hardly in need of thanks. After all, we all arrive in much the same manner. [i.e. in a state of confusion]

I must also extend an apology for allowing my confusion to offend, if that were the case at any point in time.

I am well aware of the peculiarity mine appearance presents. [to put it lightly] Suffice it to say that if I were to take offense at every instance of disbelief, I would have little time to spare for anything else I might wish to accomplish.
Of course, mine own reactions regarding the discovery of the existence of humans may have tempered mine responses somewhat.
[yup, humans are the weirdos here]

I take it you and the little princess are settling in?

Yeah, I guess the castle itself is kind of like its own government.
