It seems we have quite a few. I prefer mint, personally, but there's Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Moroccan, Chamomile, Honeydew...

Why are there so many different kinds? Give him a moment of just feeling cups, looking for the ones with handles. Duke needs to try to figure out what he usually drinks.

Mint sounds closest. But Chamomile sounds familiar - an herb? ~~doesn't that one raise m.atk...~~ ]

I believe so? I think it is to simulate a flavor and is not the actual thing, or comes from its leaves. Personally, I was never much of a tea drinker - it is not terribly popular in my world.

Hmn. Although if there are herbs, and herbs commonly found as flowers, perhaps fruits should not be as surprising....

Likely, although may take some time. [ He would hang his up, but he's not sure of the kitchen did that, or had it tucked in a cabinet...

_{[He lets him have at it as he goes about finding a light snack to go with the tea along with some spoons to stir and sugar cubes. He sets those on the table, and once Duke finds it he comes to take it, letting his fingers brush Duke's so the other was aware of his proximity.]}

And he will really need to get used to people touching him. He keeps his reaction to a pause in releasing the kettle. ]

.... Are the biscuits already out? [ He means on the counter, but he'll carefully take steps to find a different cabinet and search for those plates he remembered finding. ]

Ah, yes, they are, but just in their boxes. I haven't set them out to be eaten.

_{[He winced a bit, seeing the other fumble, but he told himself not to pity, to let Duke work it out for himself.]}

Hmn. [ He has a tiny moment of trouble with the fumble and then plates and boxes, how does he make sure everything stays put while he walks and remembers the way to the table...

Obviously the answer is with magic, after one of the boxes tries to make an escape. Duke focuses and connects a formula from his hand to the box, preventing it from hitting the floor, and giving it a place to return to.

He'll just put everything on the table now. ]

Aware that the ways I use tend to be considered odd, unaware that.. magic would be considered odd. [ At least, no one has told him that yet. ]

Ah, yes, perhaps it is better said your method is interesting. I have magic myself, but... it does not work the way you just seemed to use it.

Have yet to find any books on magic that can read, so mostly unaware of other methods. One here used.... incantations, with rhythm and spoken word, to make magic work. Use formula, myself.

Ah, not a formula. I... feel it? It is like weaving, I suppose, an art. If you want to read some of the books the library has, I do not mind sitting with you now and then and reading aloud. It would be good for me too.

Ah. Would you say it is more... 'will' guided? [ And a somewhat uncomfortable expression. He would really rather not have to have people read to him. But its also something he can't fix, his inability to see.

I have not... been read to, in some time. [ Perhaps a little awkward sounding. He's having to swallow some self-sufficiency here. It's not particularly easy. ]
