The Carnival! (FINAL DAY)

[Once again, the fair is open all day, but with the odd selection of music playing again throughout. Instead of the other flyers that have been seen the past couple days, today's flyers read as,]

FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
10 PM

[Vendors may seem a little over cheerful the closer it gets to 10pm and will close their stands a few minutes before the show starts but open them up again after. There will be chairs and blankets available for those that want to sit and watch the show instead of riding rides.]

(ooc: As before, I'll set up a section for the fireworks, but other than that, it's open!)

[Right at 10pm sharp, the fireworks show begins. Those that may try to find the source of the fireworks will find that they seem to spawn from nowhere with no obvious source.]

[River had been a bit of a shut-in during the carnival week, but there was no way she would ever miss a fireworks display! Naturally, she had a front row seat. This was going to be good]

[Fairy flyin' over :3 she's probably hard to see in the dark except for the shiny red sparkles. She motions at the chair or spot next to River.]

Hello, River Song! Mind if I join you?

[Oh, she knows you. So that means River makes room on her blanket for Aradia]

I don't mind at all. The festivities were just about to happen!

Angeal has situated himself in the corner of the viewing area, on one of the blankets that had been provided...well, like everything else was. The man keeps his eyes open for people he knows while keeping a hand on his sword- He saw Cloud's go up for raffle- and just takes this time to kind of relax and enjoy the fireworks.

A person he knows is indeed around, as Martel steps up to the railing a few feet away, not even noticing him yet. She leans on the railing, watching the fireworks start, fascinated. She hadn't seen fireworks before she arrived at the Castle.

It reminds him of the Golden Saucer's own, something he had seen once before on some vacation time, back when he was still a Third Class SOLDIER. Angeal leans back onto one hand, content to watch the show in the sky, but his shifting he catches sight of the other close by, and can't help but call out to her with a smile.

"Enjoying the fireworks, Martel?"

[ With her arms crossed over her chest and one of her hands gripping at the flyer, Buffy unintentionally backs herself up into the corner near Angeal. ]

Oh! Wow. Guess I'm not the only one who likes this spot.

Despite her better judgment, Jennifer had finally wandered over to the carnival. Though she could simply wish anything she wanted into existence when she was hungry and she knew the fried food was terribly unhealthy, she was unable to resist the lure of fried candy bars, and so wandered around, carefully picking at a fried Mars bar.

She stopped to watch the fireworks when she noticed them going off, thinking about how long it had been since she'd seen them, a small smile on her face.

Castle roof

[Like hell he is going anywhere near those fireworks. But he's definitely sitting on the edge of the castle roof, watching those things from a nice not eardrum bursting distance. They sure are pretty ]

[ Kirby's been running around the carnival for the most part, but he wants to take a breather and maybe nap in his room...

But then he hears the fireworks.

So immediately, he runs up to the roof, running next to Zelos, not even noticing him until he's done watching the first set of fireworks. ]

Poyo! [ he greets the redhead cheerfully, waving. ]

[Tsuna had decided to retreat to the castle near the end of the festival. It had been a lot of fun, but exhausting as well. Plus, when he'd heard about the fireworks, he'd realized that the castle roof would be the perfect viewing spot, both as a spot away from the rest of the crowd, and as a vantage point.

When he comes up, it's dark enough that he doesn't notice Zelos, and simply walks over to a spot some several feet away from the redhead, then sits down and watches the show.

After some time, Tsuna has brought his knees up against them and is hugging them, and though his gaze remained on the fireworks, his mind is back at home, watching the fireworks with his friends in the small area surrounded by cherry blossom trees.]

Simon had been pointedly avoiding the carnival as long as it had been there- for all it did was remind him of his sister, make him think of the fun she would have had there, given the chance to be a normal kid again...

He was finally teased out, however, when the fireworks began to go off. He couldn't remember the last time he'd seen any, and they put him in mind of a happier time... only this time, it did not make him sad. He realized that his misery over his sister's disappearance was beginning... not to go away, but at least to hurt less, and he felt that could only be a good thing.

[Kitt had seen fireworks before. Of course he'd seen fireworks before. But he'd never seen fireworks before. It was a distinction that would probably be lost on most people. As he'd already spent most of the day wandering around with a slightly dazed look on his face, why should stopping to watch the fireworks be any different? He didn't claim a spot on any of the blankets, preferring to stay towards the back and out of the way, waiting for the show to start]

[She'd given him a few hours to cool his jets, but after the bottle - and another - she'd decided he needed checking up on. Because he was a dork and all coltish and new to the world. And she may have had a little niggling nugget of guilt over egging him so much. She'd heard the punch to the wall, and it had sounded like a doozy]

There you are. You're not like, hypnotized or anything by these, are you?

[Kyouko had to admit, the carnival was more fun than she's had in a long time, so of course she wouldn't waste the opportunity to view the fireworks. Currently she's stretched out across a blanket, leaning back on her palms as she stares at the sky, occasionally moving to take another bite out of the elephant ear sitting on her lap.]

[Jenny has been lying low recently, but you can't really keep a Londoner away from fireworks.

She's avoiding all the fried foods, and instead is nursing a nice Italian ice. Maybe she poured some bourbon in it. That's a distinct possibility.

She's also managed to find a sparkler and is sort of casually, idly holding it, because it's amusing to her.]

[Pepper has been enjoying the carnival, even with her loss she's managed to have some of the food. Not that she's proud of her secret love of deep fried Oreos, but she wanted one and it was there.

She spots the girl with the sparkler and makes her way over.]

It's a nice contribution to the show.

[It's probably little surprise that Phoenix is sprawled happily on a sheet, gazing up at the fireworks, daydreaming as he soaks in all their beauty.

It's been an eventful three days, but all in all, this is a nice end to the carnival.]

[For once, York is standing around completely without armor. He does look a little jittery, but surely there aren't going to be any accidents here, right? Carolina wouldn't have asked if she wasn't sure about safety. He seems to be munching a fried pickle to help calm his nerves.]

[And not too far away is Carolina, heading toward him. She knew it was a bit of a leap to ask him to not wear his armor for one day of the carnival when the reason why he did was a legitimate concern about his safety. As she nears his side, she'll somewhat announce her presence,] Hey.

[And then she sees the fried something.] Don't tell me it's another fried twinkie.

[He smiles when he sees her, as he usually does.]
