I understand some medication will make you drowsy for the day, but being knocked out for nearly two weeks? Not what I needed or wanted, Cair Paradisa. Too much sleep is not supposed to be good for you.

So the journal mentions a carnival came to Paradisa. Anyone know where exactly it came from?

Since Okami's long closed and I've been meaning to do highlights again. I know money has no real value here, so if there's something we can work out, I'd be glad to.

[Not that he's seen her in action or anything THAT HE KNOWS ABOUT, but American (or even, Earth, really; let's be real) military training goes a long way for Brock.]

None really. It's been a while since somebody organized one of these expeditions, though.

Well, yeah. Last time was when those two kids turned out to be spies and burned down an outpost. So I don't really blame people for holding off.

Hopefully we won't run into any more of those out there. [ She can fend for herself and others, and wire small bombs and all, but those iron suits are out there somewhere... ]

You mind doing me a favor while I'm gone?

How do you feel about dog-sitting?

I think I can handle that.

You might need to take a trip to the pet store in the town at some point, but he's really easy to handle for a big dog.

[Wow, a big dog... Brock's experience with pets has been limited to like, terriers. And robots.]

What kind of dog?

Great Pyranees. [ She wonders if he knows what that even is. ] They're livestock guard dogs.

But no, he has no idea what that is. Is it like a Great Dane, he's wondering.]

Huh. What's his name? And does he have any stuff he likes to do, or ... [read: will he just sleep and go for walks or does he need hours of attention ...]

Church. Well, he does like his walks and bugging the ducks at the pond. He drools a lot, though. [ Big dogs... ]

And you'll definitely have to brush his fur.

Yeah, alright. My wife might freak out about the fur, but she can deal with it.

Is he okay with strangers?

Pretty good. He won't bite them, if that's what you're worried about. There's only one guy he's wary about.

It's Spike. [ She knows they're friends... ]

Guess I'll have to keep him away from the cabin.

He'll sit quietly in a room for hours. He didn't trash my room while I was out.
