044. Achilles' Last Stand
[Filtered away from First Gens or any jackasses who would tell them about this.]
[This is dictated, in that super deep and manly (and slightly monotone) voice of his.]
So, expedition time again. For those of you who are new to this whole thing, sometimes people go off exploring the rest of the world -- and a lot of those people are our stronger fighters.
Which means we're kind of vulnerable to attack from those guys out in the woods who hate us.
So everybody needs to be extra alert right now. Especially since we don't have any kind of organized defense force anymore. Everyone keep your journals with you, and if you notice anything weird, speak up immediately.
Those of you on the expedition -- try to filter your stuff away from the First Gens so they don't know we're down a couple thirty-whatever people. [How many people went, he doesn't even know.......]
Alright. I'm trying not to freak anybody out either, so don't start shaking and crying. Probably nothing'll happen.
[But the first rule of OSI agents is to be ready for anything, so Brock is of the opinion that if impressive danger stuff can happen, it probably will. No sense scaring people, though, so his usual blasé demeanor is in place.]
But if it'd make anyone feel better, I can give you training in hand-to-hand combat or close-quarters weapons if you want. Probably other people are around who can teach the same thing, too, or guns or whatever.
That's it.
