[ This isn't where Uru went to sleep last night.

While she gets a serious feeling of déjà vu as she takes a groggy look around the clinic, she's still confused. She didn't sleepwalk into some local hospital, did she...? Even if it looks so familiar... ]

It must be a dream-- eh?

[ Her eyes land on a clock on the wall. It reads 7:23... PM. Though she doesn't have any clue on what's happening, Uru's heart nearly leaps from her chest and she claps her hands on either side of her face. ]

AHHH?! I slept all day?! I missed work! Manager and everyone must be so worried! [ AND WORSE. ] This is more of a nightmare?!

[ And she clumsily stumbles out of bed, hitting the floor and dragging the covers with her. ]

[And that certainly rouses the elf woman quietly reading in a nearby chair. She quickly shuts her book and stands, holding out a reassuring hand.]

Calm yourself, Uru. You should not rise so suddenly after so long a rest.

[amiable]

[ The bed sheets have obscured her vision and well, her entirely. Galadriel's voice makes her jump and she's too occupied with her urge to rush out that she doesn't place the voice yet. ]

E-Eh? Hello? [ She pulls the sheet off and looks around.

Galadriel's keen eyes will note Uru sure does look a little different than she did maybe several minutes ago. Her hair is longer and her face a smidge older looking. Because shitty canon art, but she has to look at least look... a little different. EVEN A LITTLE. ]

[Ah. She'd gone home, then. This is cause for an even more gentle tone.]

Uru. Do you remember this place? [Do you remember her?]

[ She stares back at this woman who is definitely familiar. In fact, it only takes half a minute before she's able to put a name to the face. ]

You're... Galadriel.

[ She could never forget those elf years. Although, that's odd... there weren't any elves back home-- ]

[amiable]

[ Her eyes widen. ]

Then this place is... [ Not a hospital, but the clinic room in that castle she had lived in for nearly three years. What is it called again? Everything is so fuzzy and dreamlike right now. ]

Paradisa. [No sooner than she finishes Uru's sentence, Galadriel is moving closer and taking her arm, attempting to lead her to a seat.]

Sit, please. This must be quite a shock. [But she is privately pleased that her name came so easily to mind.]

[amiable]

I-- [ She follows, but rather apprehensively. ] How did I get here?

[ Why is she in the clinic? She can't remember coming here even... all those years ago. ]

[inafadingcrown]

You were injured. [A simple enough answer, since she wasn't certain of the specifics.] Nothing serious, but enough to send you home for a time, it seems.

I hit my head?! [ She doesn't remember that. And she doesn't remember how she knows hitting your head is what sends you back home. ]

[amiable]

... It wasn't all some dream? The magical castle...

[inafadingcrown]

I fear not, dear one. But I am glad to speak with you once again. [She worried.]

[amiable]

[ She seats herself on the bed, averting her gaze for a moment. This is all too surreal. It's not a bad feeling at all, if she wanted to be honest.

It's all coming back to her. A flood of memories and emotions she didn't have in Shiawase. ]

This is really...

[Galadriel seats herself next to Uru and silently places a hand on her knee. It's a lot to process, she's certain, and for the moment, assuring her young friend that she's there and that she has her support matters far more than anything she might say.]

[amiable]

[ The gesture draws her attention to her knee. She gazes at it quietly as she tries to collect her thoughts as quickly as she can. It's still foggy in many places, but this feeling -- this warmth spreading through her, she could never forget it.

She takes a deep breath and then a smile breaks across her face. ]

Paradisa... kitchen's on the first floor, isn't it?

[ All those precious memories were coming back. ]

[She laughs and her relief is audible in it.]

It is. [And then, after a pause] How long has it been for you?

[amiable]

[ Uru blinks again, screwing up her expression in thought. ]

Ah... it's been three years. [ A pause. This shouldn't be news for her, except it still takes a moment for her to absorb this information. ] Three years, yes.

You've been here this whole time? Or... [ How does it work here again? ]

It has not yet been a month to my eyes. [Time flows strangely here, remember, Uru?]

[amiable]

[ She looks at the calendar. August 23... ]

That's right... time is really strange here. [ It feels like it's been forever for her. ] So... I've been asleep?

[inafadingcrown]

You have. And I must say, it is a relief to see you up and about after so long.

[amiable]

I'm sorry for inconveniencing you, Galadriel.

[inafadingcrown]

You did not inconvenience me, dearest; you worried me. I care for you a great deal.

[ It sort of reminds her of when everyone came to the hospital to check on her. ]

I didn't mean to worry you either. I don't remember hitting my head... [ Not yet anyway. ]

[amiable]

But if I had Galadriel checking on me... then I'm glad! I always felt lucky to have people watching over me.

[inafadingcrown]

You would do no less for me. [In fact, she seems to recall you looking in on her not that long ago.]

[amiable]

I think I remember some of it! [ She smiles. ] It's a little foggy, though I'm starting to remember this world again.

... I can't believe I'm back. [ And she doesn't mean it in a bad way. ]
