[Now, Yuan often looks serious, but seeing as how they've only just started on this expedition, it seems a little soon for him to be looking so positively grim as he rides along, staring at the horizon. Occasionally, he sighs, and just looks depressed instead as he pets his horse's mane, but then he frowns again and his eyes narrow.

This quite possibly has something to do with that very public spectacle yesterday, for those who might have been around to see it.]

Never mind that we're all out beyond the border where people can actually die, and we don't know what dangers we'll be facing. No one should be here unless it's their choice and they understand the risks.
