[August 24, 12:00 pm, castle grounds.
A few easels stand outside on the grass, arranged in a sort of loose, wide triangle, with a table and some chairs set up in the middle. Phoenix is bustling about, making sure each easel is supplied with some basic paint colors--assuming people can wish for other colors or media if they so choose--and leaving some blank paper for either drawing or writing at each of the places at the table.
True to his word, he's prepared (only a few minutes late) for the group art session he'd advertised via journal earlier in the month. Come and join him with any kind of art!]

[He's really quite serious, rather disappointed by yet another failure to add to his collection, but it's probably not very easy to take him seriously at all with the blurred, smudged remnants of a painted-on mustache gracing considerably more of his face now that he's just spread it around.]

[Ah well. He picks up his paintbrush and gets back to his own painting.]

[He glances around, looking pointedly at the other few people milling about.]
I can clean it up myself...

A-...ah, yes... [Ahem.] ...Indeed.

[And just to show no hard feelings, he reaches over and dabs a bit of paint onto the back of Edgeworth's hand.]

[He then takes said hand and slowly wipes it upon his left cheek, leaving a very noticeable green smudge.]
...Now we're even.
