You know, when everyone runs off to do the whole action hero explorer thing the castle always feels a lot more empty, and yet no matter how many people run off I still feel like I have over a hundred different roommates who won't take their feet off the coffee table, or take out the trash. The scary thing is, in this overly elaborate metaphor the maid service poisoned most of the people living here, so relying on them to take care of things isn't exactly remotely intelligent. Which leaves us to have to do our own things if we don't want to double over our toilets next time the castle gets fussy.
Which is all just an elaborate way to say I hate doing my own laundry.
[ And indeed that is where Peter is right now, fiddling with dials in the laundry room and really hoping he's getting the setting right. ]

[ A soft snort, but it's good-natured. In light of the crazies in the world, it's hard to judge someone harshly just for not wanting to do laundry... ]
Well, Peter Parker; I'm Lana Luthor, and I think my life has different priorities from yours. Yet I find myself empathizing.

Uhm.
What's a washing machine?
no subject
Machines for washing clothing. Let me guess, you're from somewhere where these sort of devices haven't been invented yet?

Then again, is it even possible for the ghosts to poison laundry?
no subject
Never heard about the old school English power games where poisoning dresses was one of the favorites?
no subject
But no, can't say I have.
no subject
Yeah, well poisoning clothing isn't exactly a new thing.

Explains why there's a laundry room for common use, I suppose. It'll discourage us from leaving washing to the ghosts.

It's pretty much shoving that in our faces now, isn't it?
