XXXIII: BOAT EDITION!

[Hi fellow expedition folks! Want to have on a boat shenanigans? Here is a good place to have them! They've been on a boat for awhile now, with no way to get off it because the river they are on is more like a canal you can't get off. But hey! At least the view is pretty!]

[If you decide to take a dip into the river, it should be relatively safe as long as you don't get hit by a boat or a flying fish who is otherwise harmless]

[OOC: feel free to make your own thread! This is more a catch all post for boat and river shenanigans. There's no real official boat assignment as to whose on what boat, so pick whatever :D ]

[Zelos is sitting on the ledge of his boat on top of the deck, his shirt and coat already discarded because it's hot. After a day? He's bored out of his mind]

Jeez, how much loooonger?

Aha, I guess this journey is pretty long, isn't it?

[Tsuna's not too far from the redhead, arms folded on the side of the ship where he was watching the scenery.

But more importantly-- he's actively engaging Zelos! The second time in a week!! What has the world come to?!]

[Kallen walks over and nudges him in the side with her foot before sitting next to him.]

[Though, she's pretty hot, too, hence the tank top and shorts.]

[ Guess who is thoroughly amused by his complaining? THAT'S RIGHT, DANY IS. She also doesn't appear bothered by the head for the most part. Any hotter and she may start to feel it. ]

I see your previous excitement has finally run it's course.

[Sheena, however, is still fully clothed--minus her gloves, which are tucked into her obi. She leans against the railing enjoying the spray a moment before turning to him.]

[Boats are for losers people who don't get terribly seasick, so Raine is Surfing on the back of her happy-looking Quagsire. Bother a Professor from your boat? Want to join her in the water? It's pleasantly cool and doesn't seem to be inhabited by anything dangerous...though the edges near the jungle are a bit obscured from view by plant growth.]

[ Those same edges? Arya is trying to climb them. Keyword: trying. She slides with a squeak back into the water. ]

[Well, Tsuna was enjoying the scenery... Until... person on a... seriously, what is that even?]

[He's sitting by the edge, but gripping it for dear life because BOY CAN'T SWIM. He spots Raine and waves, hoping to get her attention.]

[Korra and Naga have just jumped into the water, so there's a huge splash from the polar bear dog. Now they're swimming around the boats and fish and all that, having a great time. Anyone wanna ride the water dog?]

[Percy waves cheerfully from his boat] Hey, guys! Having fun?

[The Once-ler does not like boats. Or large bodies of water. Given his inability to swim, and that the last time he was on a river he nearly died, he's keeping as far from the edges as he possibly can.

And so, he is sitting in the middle of one of the boats, his long legs tucked up as much as he can possibly manage (lest they be a tripping hazard) watching as Unless scrawls itself across the deck of the ship around him.

He'd almost consider getting his guitar, but that would mean standing up and MOVING]

Come with us, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

[ Plopping down next to uncle Oncey! Nymeria sniffs in his direction. ]

[There were many things you might expect a kid to be doing on an adventure. Exploring. Looking at the strange scenery. Running around and bothering people.

...Conan had located a quiet corner of the deck and settled down with a Holmes novel.]

[Flynn's walking by when he spots the kid with the book. He smiles when he sees the title]

Hey. That's a nice choice, there.

[Hermione sits in her boat scribbling madly on a piece of parchment. She's already gotten ink on her fingers and her clothes. If anyone tries to read over her shoulder you'll see that her writing is tiny and cramped, yet somehow she is still taking up almost the entire piece of parchment]

[Sup gurl, suuuup. The Once-ler will glance at her from his nice safe spot]

Is there really enough here to make that many notes on?

[Ino is just sitting on one of the boats and ... well, pretty much sulking. She's been in a bad mood since the fight with Echidna, and the news of all the people going home back at the castle hasn't exactly made her feel any better.

so she's just kind of sitting on the railing on the deck and staring out at the water irritably]

[The water's peaceful until Naga floats by on her back, looking a lot like an otter.]

[Martel is sitting in one of the boats, sighing and watching the shore slip by. She's thinking of sitting on the side and trying to dangle her feet in. What's the worst that can happen?]

[HEY MARTEL. ino is still in kind of a crappy mood, but hey, she might as well make use of this down time to get something important done. and that something important is SPYING ON YOU]

It's really pretty, huh?

[Boats! Boats are great. Boats can carry you over bodies of water and you can watch the scenery go by, and so long as you avoid anyone jumping in, you won't get wet!

This is exactly what Jane is doing, although she looks somewhat wistful. Thinking about another adventure at home, perhaps, or maybe some folks who would love to take on this sort of adventure.

You should definitely come and bother her.]

[Flynn walks up, smiling]

Hey, there, Jane. What do you think of the boat?

[James is sitting with his back pressed against the side of the boat he's on, glaring at the journal. Occasional muttering can be heard as he does so and he looks ready to chuck the journal.

When he's done with that however he is leaning over the edge of the craft to stare at the fish. And once more there's something like concentration there but he's making no move to try and catch the things.]

[Flynn is kneeling on the floor by the bow of the ship, eyes closed. To the untrained eye he looks like he's meditating. However every 20 seconds or so his hand twitches in his lap. He might not be able to meditate but that's not going to stop him from enjoying the calmness of the water and fresh air.


Clearly this means someone should bother him]

[Harry walks up to Flynn and sits down.] Meditating eh? [He asks after a few moments]

[ After the prior day's, let's say...incident, Echidna has mostly kept to herself. She would have been more than happy to keep a boat all to herself (and not surprised given how quickly gossip can spread), but whoever does dare to be in the boat with her, hopefully they aren't afraid of snakes or skimpily dressed elves.

Seriously, for all that she's covered, she might as well just be wearing a bra and panties. With, you know, armor and weapons. The live snake keeping her company stays on her person for most of the boat ride, only occasionally slithering out into the water or throughout the boat to investigate.

The cool water is tempting, but she really doesn't want to risk getting all gross and slimy just yet, as jungle rivers are usually questionable. So Echidna will just be observing everyone on their boats and in the water like she's a perfectly behaved stalker. ]

[South hasn't really stopped to notice any of her boatmates, given how she's pretty much parked herself by the rail for when the need overwhelms her to heave over the side. When she's not doubled over the edge, she's sitting miserably with her back against it, and it's then that she peers at Echidna with a frown, as if thinking is really really hard right now.]

That's what I forgot to pack. My swimsuit.

[Aradia can be found at the front of her particular boat, sitting astride the bowsprit as far up as she can manage shut up the boats totally have bowsprits. She's left her boots on deck, and her bare feet dangle above the water, kicking unconsciously back and forth in time with some unheard melody.

They're here. They're finally here! Lastlook! And it's every bit as beautiful as the picture, even if it looks kind of different in daylight as opposed to dusk. Either way, it is like a dream come true. Everything from here on out is uncharted territory. New ground to uncover. Who knows what they'll find.

Of course sitting out on a narrow piece of wood above deep water when you're not that strong a swimmer may not be the best of ideas but as if she seriously gives a shit about that right now this is like the best day ever.]

[ON A BOAT MOTHERFUCKERS

Rin is just sitting near the edge, resting her chin in her hand, gazing off at the shore. Tad is loping along easily nearby, orange fur flashing in and out of the trees.]

I feel like we should sing or something.

[ It's hard to tell if this skank is being sarcastic or not, but what else is new? ]

[Harry leans against the railing of one of the boats and watches as the world travels by]

[ With her hands tightly gripping the railing of the boat Daenerys watches the scenery as their pass, her expression soft and somewhat wistful. There is a beauty here that she wishes she could share with her bloodriders, with Ser Jorah, with her people.

She is without her dragons for the moment, as they are resting, so no one has to fear of them hissing or attempting to bite anyone who gets close to her. ]
