Depending on the source of the danger, I'd likely recommend people evacuate either to the outpost or Mineas Well.

Well we should have some sort of warning system set up at the very least, so we're not caught completely off-guard. Just because the Peace Patrol isn't around doesn't mean we shouldn't try to be ahead of the game. I have cameras on the castle and in the city, but they don't cover everything, and it would honestly be best if we try to keep a couple of people at the Outpost at all times for advanced warning in case they come from that direction.

Mineas Well seems like the obvious first choice since it's quickest and Flora can provide protection, but there are a lot of new people who may not even know about that place or how to use the crystal. If it's going to be the actual plan, then there needs to be some sort of buddy or group system in place.

For a back-up plan, say fleeing to the Outpost or somewhere else, then a similar system needs to be set up, and we need to figure out who will be in charge.

We were working on a few early warning methods for the live zone outpost. Carolina had plans for a monitoring system similar to what you're mentioning there, though I'm not sure it's ready. We had similar plans for a warding system that would tell us if anyone tripped the wards attempting to break in, though not necessarily if they are simply passing by. It's moot, in any case, the wards aren't ready yet...

Mineas Well offers the most protection right now, but since the crystal is in the courtyard, it would require leaving the building to do. If we were, for example, under siege, that may not be the best option. The...teleporters for both outposts, however, are inside the castle.

I don't know how you plan on getting anyone here to follow directions, though. Clearly, it did not work for the Peace Patrol. I believe Lakare has his system of floor captains, but the one time I saw it implemented, barely anyone bothered to heed their advice. [Him included]

Well, seeing as how I can't venture out past the barrier anyway, I'll be on alert for any potential nastiness. I've made contact with the other Doctor, so if something starts to happen, I can communicate with him directly about getting the civilians and kids into someplace safe. Telepathy, I've found, is a much more secure method of communication, especially where this place is concerned.

My personal plan is to try and get as many shields up as I can to protect as many as I can. But, as anyone knows, the best laid plans never survive the first engagement.

But I guess rarely enough that it hardly counts. But protection is never unnecessary, especially if you can help with escape routes.
