[After (most) everyone's out of the caves and back on the beach, it's time for dinner. Out comes the food, the fires are lit, and people are having a jolly good time or something like it. Hopefully.

Whatever's going on, people doing their thing. It involves eating and... socializing. That thing. Mingling is happening, and everyone better be liking it! Or at least tolerating it.

[ Having seen it before, she frowns in question rather than surprise. ]

What is it?

The orb of the Chosen, or Cruxis Crystal- same thing.

It marks the Chosen.

[persequor]

[ Were it a necklace, she'd assume it's something akin to a staff or a crown. A symbol. But that's stuck to his body. Even kings can remove their crown. It gives her a bad feeling. ]

Why?

[ She stretches a hand out to it to touch it. ]

[wilder]

Because we're born with it.

[He lets her, trusting that she has better sense than to rip it out or anything. In the dead zone, there's nothing special about it. Simply a gem. ]

[persequor]

[ She runs her fingertips over the gem. Then she delicately traces the outsides, running her finger over his skin. Arya pulls her hand back quickly. ]

How?

[wilder]

[that will never not feel weird; a shrug]

I dunno, some sort of magic. It's usually in our hands when we're born. We attach it to our chests when we become full fledged Chosens. [Or give it to our sisters as a symbol of love and use a fake one WHATEVER DETAILS]

You can never take it off?

For short periods of time, I can.

The only ones who have to wear something to mark them are maesters and slaves. A maester's chain isn't stuck to their skin.

Some of them, yep.

What happens if it breaks?

I'm not sure. Don't really feel like testing it out either.

[ She grabs the neckline of his shirt and drags it halfway up his neck. ]

Don't be stupid. Don't let anyone see it then.

Spike stole it? [ Wait. ] Do you mean the dragon?

Yep. He was on a loss that made him greedy and he thought it looked shiny.

[ Loss or not, she's smacking Spike when they return. In the meantime, she's grabbing a lock of Zelos' hair and tugging sharply. ]
