Hey. How've you been?

[Alan's done a lot of thinking since Sam's departure from the Castle. He's had a lot of time to himself, especially after Flynn and his younger doppelganger went on the expedition together. The programmer has been spending a lot of time trying to perfect alterations to the Castle Evacuation plan and Code Blair now that he has so much free time. It's very quiet.

So he doesn't expect a jolt of static from a Shinx who somehow made its way out of its Pokeball.

It does, however, help to get him out of his funk - at least for today. He leaves his room for something other than food and heads outside, settling on a bench near a tree that his Shinx immediately begins to attempt to climb.]

Soon it will be fall again. Huh. [Time certainly passed quickly - so much had happened!]

What are the odds of another sea of leaves?

Neither have I. I think they've been in the stables.

[He shakes his head.] I'm so unused to seeing animals here - at least outside - aside from the occasional Pokemon, so I wouldn't even think to check.

The thought never crossed my mind, either. Of course I suppose it's not that far fetched when you take into account everything else we've seen here.

It's still a little overwhelming if you think about everything that's here. The differences tend to fade into the background.
