006 Summons ❈ Expedition Version

[With Onyx's reins in one hand, Sheena holds her journal with the other as she rides slowly with the others towards the other side of the Dead Zone. The journey is almost over, and the relief and exhaustion aren't hard to miss as she sends an open message as well as private ones to those she missed back at the castle--along with one request.]

Well, we're almost back, and I can honestly say I wouldn't mind going back to explore some more--in spite of the dangers. It--reminded me of home a little. Anyway, now that we're almost back, is there any way I can keep Onyx, the horse I'm riding? I like her, and I wouldn't mind taking care of her.

Poyo! I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was going on the expedition, but it's almost over and I'll be back soon. I missed you, little brother!

Hey, I was wondering how you were doing. Have you completely healed? If so, I'd like to talk to you some more about…you know.

[Onyx whinnies a little in greeting as Sheena smiles.]

Percy! I forgot you can talk to her!

Heh. Hey, Onyx. Sounds like you're happy with Sheena.

[Another soft whinny from Onyx as she tosses her head slightly.]

I don't know if that's a yes, but I'm happy with her.

It was a "yes" for sure.

[Excuse her while she hugs Onyx about the neck, eliciting a soft neigh from her new friend.]

Yeah, really. You two sound like a good pair.

[Sheena's just going to hug Onyx a little longer--without pulling her mane, incidentally.]

Is there a place I can keep her?

[Sheena may act on impulse, but even she knows she can't take Onyx up to her room.]

Yes, I have healed. My mana levels are still rather low, but no longer so low as for me to be in danger of passing out.

[The casual way he says it suggests this was not the first time he'd run very low on mana. Been there, done that, did not receive a t-shirt as they do not exist on Aselia.]

[She's not going to go any further until he promises her that.]

Of course. You and Genis are the only ones I know who might be able to help if something is seriously wrong with my mana.

[Healers? Sorry, Dhaos forgot the one he knew when the castle decided to hit the reset button on him.]

[Good thing she's talking to him over the journal. Otherwise, he'd see her blush.]

You've met Genis? How's he doing? He arrived when I was out here, so all I've done is talk to him. [So, she doesn't know how he's looking physically.]

[Yes, because he'd be utterly confused by the blushing if he could see it.]

He seems to be doing well. There was a brief scare when he was startled by a new resident - a lion I believe his species is called - but he was just badly startled. I have only spoken with the boy twice, so I'm afraid I'm rather uncertain of any details.

[He gave her a compliment. She's not good with those.]

You haven't seen him, though, so you don't know if this "lion" hurt him in anyway other than scaring him, right? [Now she really wants to get back to make sure herself.]

[She should compliment him sometime. He really turns quite red~]

He assured me he was alright, and he did not sound as if he were injured and attempting to hide it.

[ Kirby is flipping through the journal when suddenly, that filtered message comes out at him. His face lights up- he hadn't heard much from Sheena recently- and he lets out excitedly: ]

Sheena, poyo!

[ The expedition? Yeah, Kirby remembered hearing about that, but he hadn't gone, instead opting to laze around the castle this time. He's glad to hear that she's okay, though! ]

Poyo! Poyo-okay? [ he asks regardless. ]

Hey, Kaabii! Yeah, I'm fine.

[Just a few cuts and bruises which could have come from anywhere, and not just from fighting giant dino-chickens.]
