seven :: journal/expedition

[South is slouching on her horse, gripping the reigns tightly and generally looking miserable. She's got her journal open and wedged under the saddle so she can listen to the entries and hopefully be distracted as they plod along. ]

When I get back, I am going to the hotsprings, and I am not moving for a fucking week, and if anyone gets in the way of that I will gut them.

[Someone's feeling a little melodramatic.]

[Korra guides Naga to walk right beside South's horse. If it gets a little antsy, it's not her fault.]

Isn't it a gorgeous day out right now?

[South replies without looking at Korra; the voice alone causing her to sigh in agrgravation.]

Yeah. It's spectacular. Especially that giant flock of fucks that I give.

Who said anything about bothering you? I'm just making friendly conversation! We could talk about the boat ride if you wanted. Or there's always the birds. Those were pretty fun.

[South yes Korra for a moment. no, no let hem NEVER speak of boats again. At tue mention of the birds, however, she chuckles.]

Yeah, that part I didn't mind so much. Almost made me think I was home again.

[Except her project usually dealt with 'rebels', and not the alien threat. Same principle, though; annihilate bad guys. ]

You have a habit of fighting giant birds on a regular basis?

[Naga edges a little closer to the horse.]

Okay, maybe not giant birds ... although I guess some of the aliens might fit that ...

Nah, just the fighting in general. I was usually pitted against the Innies -- would you tell your monster to watch it!

[South's horse moves uneasily to the side as Naga edges closer, throwing iys head back with a whinny, South tugging ineffectually at the reigns.]

She's just being friendly! [Korra stifles a snicker, though she does guide Naga away just a bit.]

Fighting in general? You're still working on that, right?

[South's trying to wrangle the horse back into stride, but it's definitely eyeing Naga with a little more focus now.]

Tell it to be friendly to something that doesn't think it's going to end up dinner.

UGH. Yes. I'm still working on that. [No she hasn't.]

The hot springs sound like a pretty good idea, actually.

You heard it here first. Hotsprings party. [Her enthusiasm has died a horrible death from saddle sore and motion sickness.]

Enthusiasm takes too much energy. Trust me, I'm ecstatoc at the idea.

Only because I'm not sure what would happen. Every time we go through a World Change, I turn human, not just lose my powers. I don't know what the results would be. Could be... Disasterous.

Not in the slightest. I could go crazy or die, or kill someone. That's enough reason to not risk it.

I know Powers get nuked. I don't know what the side-effects would be on someone like me, and, frankly, I don't want to know.
