[So Para, do you know what hasn't happened lately that needs to happen at this moment?
That's right. A disaster in the kitchen.
It doesn't seem like such a disaster at first-- in fact, there's a rather pleasant smell of meat-- some sort of beef, probably-- wafting from the kitchen, and if one's paying close enough attention, some light hums from a young boy while he prepares his lunch.
And then there's an 'Eh?', and a silence that can't mean anything good.]
EHHH!!!
[Yep, that is definitely the smell of something burning. And then there's a clang and a rushing of water from the sink as Tsuna holds the burnt sleeve of his coat under the water. (The heck is this kid doing with a coat in the summer, anyway?) And another yelp as he turns off the stove and flails for a moment before taking a small towel, quickly wiping off the meat that had been displaced from the pan off the stove.
And then... just... a long-suffering sigh as he slumps over the kitchen sink, turning it off.
Later on:]
[Ino]
Ah, um... Ino? [god he feels so lame right now]

[Ino]
Ah, um... Ino? [god he feels so lame right now]

I-it's nothing important. [yeeeppp definitely not meeting her gaze now]

[This is weird. His tutor had his own ways of dealing with Tsuna's problems, but they were usually indirect.
But this was direct. Ino wanted him to tell her what was wrong. What was wrong with him.
What if he lied? No-- he couldn't pull off a convincing lie. Ino would see through him in a second.
His shoulders hunch a little, and he shrinks away, unwilling.]
Ino...

[folds her arms across her chest. she is a direct person, sorry tsuna ;;]
no subject
He's still not looking at her.]
I-I don't want to talk about it.
no subject
... she's not sure what to say, though, because usually enough poking and prodding makes her friends talk]
no subject
These are his problems to deal with. Of that much, he's convinced.]
... I'm sorry.
no subject
[she hesitates for a moment, before turning to the counter] Well, let's make you some lunch, hm?
no subject
[oops doesn't mentioned that kind of ruined his appetite. he's sure he'll get it back once ino starts cooking. maybe.]
no subject
Could you get another pot full of water for the corn?
no subject
[He's quiet when he does it, thinking.]
... thank you, by the way, Ino. You really do help me out a lot.

Okay. What do I have to do?

[He, uh.. turns up the heat some? INO YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW CLUELESS THIS KID IS]
no subject
Yes, like that. All the way up is fine until it boils.
no subject
[The thought just sort of innocently slips out as he turns the heat up the rest of the way. He'd help his mom with cooking, a little, but not enough or often enough to know how to do anything.
...man, he kind of misses her.]

[Shoving away those homesick feelings because who needs those. He looks at Ino.]
Ah, so... how have you and Gale been doing?
no subject
Pretty good! [she smiles fondly. though she won't voice it out loud, she's -- really, really happy. no guy she's dated has ever treated her the way gale does, and while it's new and surprising, it definitely shows on her face that she's genuinely, 100% happy] Though he's a little glad to be back at the house, I think ... the sleeping bag in the tent was a bit small for him.
no subject
Ahaha. Yeah, it's definitely nice to be back. Although going on the expedition was pretty fun as well.
