I got another question for all of you... what do you do when someone who's supposed to be helping you can't remember you, all of a sudden? I know it's probably one of those losses, but ... I feel like I can't just ignore him the whole time.

[Arya Stark]
Hey, it's your turn to teach me swords. Meet me in the garden, and bring me a spare. [hey, if you didn't use manners when you asked him, he doesn't have to use them when he asks you. manners are for wusses]
[/Arya]
[with that, he picks up his journal and heads down from the tower to meet Arya in the garden. if anyone runs into him between the two, he'll stop to talk, definitely, but he's had a lot to think about, and he's done with thinking. now he just needs to move, and learn more. Flynn may not be himself right now, but the last instruction he gave him still stands: keep learning.]

Ah, sorry. Wasn't paying attention.

S'arright. .... [eyeing that outfit curiously, because really, what is it]
no subject
What? I spill something?
[He has other clothes than black combat gear, yanno.]

[He's not the one dressed up like some crazy cyberpunk raver, buddy.]
Look fine to me.

They're not bad, they're just ... different. ... How come you're in such a hurry, man?

I was out jogging and didn't slow my pace down. Was gonna take the stairs.

[oh, right, he's got that, now. he pulls it off his back and shows him. SEE? ISN'T IT AWESOME]

[And he frowns, looking down at the disc.] Does it pop sawblades out or something?
no subject
[he doesn't even really do anything perceptible, but suddenly the disc is glowing brighter, and he throws it at a patch of tall grass and weeds. it hacks clean through like a lawnmower, then arcs back to land perfectly in his outstretched hand.
smug CLU is smug. compare him to Clippit now, bitch]

Pretty deadly. How does it work?

[he boots that up, showing Clint the swirl of blue code that comes streaming up in a column. there's a tangle of white that's slowly seeping into the blue - most of it is already part of the same pattern, but there are parts still separate from the code - the human memories from the expedition that haven't completely cross-referenced themselves with his other memories, yet]
Disc's the most important part of a program.

Isn't it kinda risky, though? Using something as important as that as a weapon? What happens if you lose it permanently, or someone steals it?

[A pause]
Swordfighting the only thing you're interested in learning?
no subject
You sound like you're offering somethin'.

no subject
Yeah, you know, I'd like that.

Not first time for Alan.

Just... Kept watch over him.

[you]
-- well that must'a been weird. How long did it last?
no subject
Lasted a week.

[a long pause, as he thinks about this. damn it, Flynn had promised to repair his directive when they got back, too]
... And you're sure there's no way we can speed it up.
