[Ah... She was gone huh? It had taken him a while to realize it. He had looked for her instead of asking over the journals, probably because he knew what the answer would be -- She was the type of girl that would have gone with them on the expedition or maybe ask how it went when they were back. The truth to be told, he would have wanted to go with her, show her the chocobo and everything...
It was the first time that someone he cared for in that place (read: friend) was gone, and even if he didn't want to think about it, she would probably not be the last. He had been reading the journal, people gone, people not remembering anything. What would the odds be for her to came back and remember him as she did the first time? Probably none. While it didn't quite make him feel anything in particular, there was a unpleasant feeling that lingered, no matter how much he tried to think that it was better she was gone, the feeling wouldn't leave.]
[Hinata]
[What could he tell her though?
...
He has always been bad at this stuff... Besides it was ridiculous... Who sent messages to people who weren't there anymore? Shakes his head, closes the journal and keeps it in his rear pocket.]

[Cloud had been hanging out at the gym for the evening, actually practicing the moves Hinata had thought him a while ago. He's sweaty, shirtless and covered in fine sand from head to toe; it was probably the hundredth heavy bag he had beaten to the point of making it explode... Well, damn. He wished there was a training room like in the SOLDIER Floor back at ShinRa Headquarters, so he didn't want to ask anyone to spar with him. What for? They all were going to leave at some point too.]

Just talk to me, Cloud-kun! Don't sputter around the subject! Spit it out!

I don't want to make more friends if they all are going to leave! What is the point? [There, happy?!]

That's stupid! Are you that kind of stupid man, Cloud-kun?

You are, aren't you? Why don't any of you boys think!

Don't patronize me, you know nothing about me.

So you will just stay here alone and friendless because you are afraid of loss?
