1st Call Out ~ [Action/Accidental Dictation]
[Category A Call. Unresponsive four year-old. That is why Stuart is running. He was expecting to run into the bungalow of an old man, but, instead, runs into the lobby of Cair Paradisa.
And he stops...
...And stares.]
I always knew Pensioners got loads of money, the theiving bastards.
[And then he notices the journal, open, at his feet, reaching down and picking it up, not looking at it yet, but turning around behind him]
Hey! Ash! Get your arse in here, we've got a kid to save.
[Silence...]
Ash? [There's the sound of the lobby door opening. And more silence.]
Okay, what the fuck?
((OOC: Open in person or over the journals.))

Are you alright, ser?

There's no ambulance outside.
[Obviously.]

[Looking outside, and back into the lobby.]
Where the fuck am I?
[It's quite simple to put two and two together and come up in another dimension...]

[A slow nod. He is new.]
You, like all of us here, find yourself in Paradisa. The Castle takes us all from our homes and brings us here.
action;
You mean to say I've been abducted and sent to another dimension? That's total bollocks. This isn't Galaxy Walk.
[Like Star Trek, but due to magic castle stuff namechanged.]
action;
It is the truth. You may ask any here.

Who needs coffee when you've got regular morning heart attacks? Hi.

...Before entering smart-arse mode.]
You know it's statistically improbable to have a heart-attack from a scare unless you have a history of cardiac issues, right?
[Now that's out of the way...]
You wouldn't have seen a big fuck-off ambulance parked right there, would you? [He points to the front of the castle]
no subject
You know that that's just a turn of phrase, right?
[She sighs. She'd be snarkier but it's pretty obvious he's new here.]
And no, there's no ambulance here. I'm sorry but it's not the ambulance that's moved but you.

Or my colleage slipped a strong hallucinogenic into my coffee before we left.

Where's the child? Where?! Let me help!

Stuart's just going to back off a bit, staring at Megamind.]
Okay, bad trip. Baaaad trip. This is the last time I let Ash get the coffee in...

I'd say cool down, but you look cold enough for the both of us. According to the magic talk-y book and a couple of other weirdos wandering around, there is no child in trouble. Not until I get back home, or something.
no subject
But you're new, so it's okay. I understand. And the child should be okay until you get back - I was worried about pretty much the same thing.
no subject
Right. Well. At least there's that.
