For those of you who had seen a grey wolf-like creature, I am back. The Castle had turned me into a direwolf, a creature from my home world, for a fortnight. My name is Alayne, while some had adopted some interesting nicknames for me -- one, a particular favorite, was Miss Furball. [The sarcasm here is dripping. Damon, that was you.

She's also not going into detail about the fact that she was Lady, her own direwolf. That is still something she is settling in her head.]

I would, however, like to thank the many who had helped me while I was in such a condition.

I could not speak. I know not what a werewolf is, but I was a direwolf.

Werewolves are people who turn into wolves on the full moon. Not someone you want to invite to a party.

That's the fun thing about werewolves. While they're shifting or after they've shifted, they don't really need a reason.
