Teleportation is problematic. Without a guiding mind, the possibility of a gruesome death upon arrival is, for most intents and purposes, certain. Therefore I must be fortune's favorite, unless--

Gentlemen, ladies. Let's talk, shall we?

[ Adrian waits in the lobby, journal in hand and standing still to keep his purple suit wrinkle-free. ]

So...anyways, who are you? Sorry I didn't ask that earlier, too preoccupied with the angel thing, um...you look new. I'm Newton Pulsifer. Everyone just calls me Newt, though.

[ He offers a handshake. ] Adrian Veidt.

A pleasure, Newt. I hope the week goes by quickly.

[He takes that hand and shakes it, nodding.]

Hopefully! But you never know...people have been in losses for longer than that. This place is where weirdness comes to nest, let me warn you about that, first off. Me with wings will be pretty normal after you've been here for a while.

What strange things have you seen?

Strange things I have seen...? Well, hmm. This place once turned into a world with pirate ships and such, while another time it turned into Paris...there's a small talking dragon somewhere who lives with ponies back in his world, people who can do actual magic, reportedly we have eyeless buffalo with human insides that live beyond the castle, and...the list goes on, really.

[ The eyeless buffalo sounds terrifying. ]

It's a surprise the people haven't rebelled.

[It is, man, it is. Newt is thankful he didn't get to see it in real life, or he would have fainted.]

Oh, there was a sort of rebellion a while ago, I guess. All the big evil villains tried taking over the castle. They all lost in the end, though.

Who guards the castle?

Guards? Well, we have something called a Peace Patrol. They're basically like a bunch of people who get together and, well, keep the peace. They did a pretty good job when the villain takeover happened, even though they needed a bit of help from the entire castle.

[ ~~The mun's~~ he's so happy you mentioned it, Newt. ]

Did the Peace Patrol mean to protect the residents or the castle?

[YOU GO AND SHOW THEM WHAT PEACE IS ALL ABOUT, ADRIAN except please don't use giant alien squids this time okay]

The residents, mostly. Really, this castle can handle damage, it's the residents they mostly worry about, I think.

[ abfjasfjnkadf HE DOESN'T NEED MORE BLOOD ON HIS HANDS. ]

What of the villains?

Some of them left, actually! As in, they went home. And the others are now in jail where they belong. They're still working out the trial thing, I believe, but they're locked up safe and sound until that happens.

Did they mean to attack the residents?

Yes, they did. One of them was actually a huge monster in the shape of a girl that ate people, and...yeah, I'm pretty sure that all of them didn't have warm and fuzzy feelings towards any of us.

Dreadful, I'm sure. [ The eyeless buffalo still trumps. ]

Do you know how I may learn more about the Peace Patrol?

[Yep, the eyeless buffalo will always trump because it is that creepy.]

You can always ask around. I'm sure they'd like new members. It's a pretty big castle, so what I would recommend is to filter a message to them on the journals so all of the members can see and answer. That way you'll learn more in no time.

[Newt is slightly flustered at that, because either everyone trolls him or think he's not worth enough of a person to talk to, so this is unprecedented. HE'S MAKING FRIENDS. 8D]
