Like old times, isn't it? (Except without a phone or computer.) I don't think I've ever written you a letter before! In fact, I never thought about it much until Pharos came back a few days ago. You know you were here in the past? I guess not... sometimes I wonder if maybe you're out there in this world somewhere.

It's kind of a scary thought, to be honest.

Oh! I don't want to make this letter too long. I just needed to say I'm sorry for not writing sooner when I got back here. Also... I wish I could share my memories of this place with you and everyone at home. I really hope someday I can. You won't notice I'm gone, but I'm sorry anyway for getting distracted by this place. ~~There are also~~ I have precious friends here and wanted to catch up with them. I know you'll understand. I still have a lot I want to do here.

I'm going to be away for a while again, but I promise I'll come back soon. Okay? And when I am back, I'm going to tell you everything about Paradisa.

Have I gotten too quiet? [ Oops. ] Sorry! I've been busy after the masquerade and with other dinners and parties.

Ah-- have you been well?

Oh, it is nothing of that nature. I merely enjoy your company.

I have been well enough. And you?

I've been good, thank you. The masquerade was so much fun! [ Except waking up on the lawn.

But she wants to pretend that didn't happen. ]

[That's good. Because Galadriel also wants to pretend that didn't happen.]

I will admit, I expected trouble. But it was quite charming. I managed even to convince my husband to dance with me.

They were a really mysterious bunch. Where did they go after?

[ A quiet gasp. ]

You both danced?! And I missed it?

I do not know, in truth. They vanished, it seems. [And then a quiet chuckle] Yes, we danced. It was lovely.

Did he have fun, too?

He is not as fond of parties as I. He came, in great part, to humor me, I have no doubt. But I do believe he enjoyed himself in the end.

Is he the shy type? [ He seems so mysterious!! ] I was able to meet him a while ago. He was in the library! Elves really like reading, huh?

Something of the sort. I would say that he is more reserved than shy. And, yes, reading is a rather common pasttime for us. We have a great deal of time, after all.

What did you think of him?

[ She pauses. ]

Hmm... he was very polite! And... regal. Definitely that.

But that must be normal for elves, right?

That depends greatly on the elf. You have met only those of noble blood and only the very old, at that.

[ She pauses, knowing she's going really off topic to what she wanted to discuss. ]

May I come over?

Of course. You can find your way here, I trust?

Of course! I'll be over in twenty? I just need to leave food for the pets and tidy up really fast before leaving.

I will be waiting. [And possibly preparing tea and snacks while she's waiting. No one ever accused Galadriel of being a poor hostess.]

[ And as promised, twenty minutes later she's knocking on the door of Galadriel's room. She's all bundled up in a warm sweater and scarf, since the evenings are a little cooler than they used to be. ]

[And Galadriel will open the door and beckon for her to come in.]

Uru. Please, make yourself at home. Would you care for tea?

[ How can she say no? Her eyes light up. ]

Yes, please! Thank you!

[And Galadriel will go to fetch tea for both of them, setting it at the small table in the sitting area of the room.]

Did you have a topic of discussion in mind?

[ She follows, pretty psyched for some delicious brewed tea.

But she pauses when Galadriel asks that question. ]

Well... [ She does, she just doesn't know how to say it outright. She would have gone to Steph about this, but this was a different topic she wasn't sure Steph could answer. ]

I've been having so much fun since I got back here.

[ But... ]

[She settles into an armchair, gesturing at Uru to sit.]
