Ten Spoons {Written}

[Today finds Jane in the library, surrounded by numerous cookbooks. Her little notebook is out, and most of it has been filled with scrawled recipes; clearly she is on a mission here. Without a second thought, she looks up from one of her books, opens her journal, and begins to write.]

A thought just struck me.
I woke up this morning knowing that I wanted to make something nice for my friends, for Halloween. I know it isn't for a while yet, but it's never too early to make a plan!
However, because I can't bake anything, I thought I was in a bind.
Halloween is all about treats, right? And isn't it nice to have a baked treat on a holiday?
So I thought I'd look up something I didn't have to bake, and I found so many wonderful things I could make! I'll have to get a new notebook soon, this one is almost full!

Now that doesn't sound like a problem, right?
Well, that's not what the issue is. I was just thinking about the ingredients I'd be using.
Don't misunderstand, I can make quite a lot of things from scratch!
It's just...well, when it comes to sweets, Betty Crocker doesn't make anything that doesn't require baking.
I guess the idea of not using the brand makes me melancholic.

...Oh, shucks and fiddlesticks!! This is silly, I'm sorry to have bothered everyone.
You know, I've got enough recipes, and I think this floor of the castle also has a gym. I'll head there, try to get my mind off of it.
I'll have the journal open if anyone wants to chat.

...I wouldn't say no to a sparring partner, either! Don't think I've forgotten about getting stronger! :B

I really don't think so. Halloween is a time to stay indoors and to keep safe.

Halloween is a holiday on October 31st, where folks decorate their houses with spooky things and children wander the neighborhood in costumes, asking for candy! People also like to throw costume parties and watch frightening movies, it really is a lot of fun.

It sounds... Mostly really great! I don't know why you'd do frightening or even spooky things, but costumes sound wonderful!

Hoo hoo! The spooky things are just part of the fun! I highly doubt anyone looks to frighten anyone too terribly.

Have you considered making candy? I don't think that requires baking, and candy is quite appreciated in some countries for Halloween.

I did, and I do have some candy recipes, but it was never really my forte. A lot of practice would be in order, and I can't exactly eat all of the practice batches!

Why not give them to other people in the Castle? I'm sure they wouldn't mind free candy.

[Tsuna's already in the gym, training as she comes in. There are a couple of dummies set up that have taken their fair share of slashes from Tsuna's dagger. One's 'hand' suddenly comes off with a clean slice from Tsuna, and he pants a bit, his mouth twisting into a frown before notices Jane and looks up, giving a smile.]

Hey, Jane-san!

[Jane had paused at the door when she saw Tsuna inside, and she'd watched curiously, journal held to her chest. When Tsuna smiles, she smiles in return.]

Well hello! I didn't expect anyone to be here...

Yeah, this place isn't used too much...

[For some reason. He walks over to a water bottle and picks it up, taking a drink. And then he looks at Jane.]

Is something up?

[Huh. Really? You'd think with so many tip-top fighters it'd be a really hopping place.]

Oh, nothing's up, not really. I just thought I'd exercise for a bit. Clear my head, you know.

[He takes another drink and examines the dummies. They're quite marred; he's been at this for awhile.]

It doesn't! I hadn't even considered fudge, gosh, that's a mistake on my part. You know what, Halloween Fudge sounds like the best course of action! Thank you, Aradia!

[Of course she's not nearby, she still lives in her outpost! But "nearby" is relative when you have a transportalizer and time powers so she's there in about half a minute. Would have been sooner, but she had to change into her training outfit first. SO ANYWAY she'll just be walking into that gym, lowering her hood as she enters.]
