047. Houses of the Holy
[Brock's dumb cabin is missing a wall.
Again.
This isn't that unusual. Shit happens to the cabin with such frequency that sometimes he wonders why the hell he even built it in the first place. But this time, there are no bullet holes everywhere; there is no car sticking halfway out of the thing. There's just a missing wall, with log rubble (?) around it, pushed to the sides.
And Brock is standing there, covered in dust and dirt, clutching a hammer in one hand and the journal in the other, tools scattered on the ground around him. There's also a dog wandering the ruins but Brock's not really paying attention to that. Too busy staring at the horror he has wrought on his own cabin.
Because: he was going to build a fireplace but then he realized he doesn't know how to build a fireplace.
He did not think this through.]
Damn it.
[Hey look, Brock is dictating into the journal. He sounds a little tired and annoyed, but also embarrassed. Kind of. As much as he can be, anyway.]
So ... does anyone know anything about like ... masonry, or ...
[Harmony]
[AND LATER......... he makes a filter to Harmony yeahhhh!!!!]
So, hey. I wanted to talk to you about, uh ... something.
[ooc. open over the journal ofc and also in the woods/by brock's cabin if you happen to be over there for whatever reason!!]

...Why would you do it yourself?

Brock, I think you need to understand what building means. It means you add to something, not take away.

[You can do it, Brock. BE STRONG. Talk about your feelings and concerns like a little girl.]
Molotov's been acting ... weird ... since that fairy thing. I don't know if you have any ideas why.

Did you do anything at the party? I mean, it was sort of weird with fairy wine and masks and dancing... and I think there was a chocolate fountain.

Not a thing, Samson. What did you do?
no subject
No, it's fine. Brock is completely unaware anything happened.]
I wanted to put a fireplace in my cabin, but it looks like I'm gonna have to go to the library or something.
google: "how do people make things out of stone". first hit: minecraft.
It cannot be that hard. Put a brick down, put a layer of... whatever that is, and then put another brick down.
problem solved!!!
Mortar. I just don't want to give myself like ... carbon monoxide poisoning if I don't do it right.
totally!!!
Hmm? I have never heard of that, people from my time do not get it.
coming soon to paradisa, minecraft: the plot
like a weirder version of lego: the plot.
writes this up immediately

Anyway the growling catches Brock's attention and he closes the journal to take a look.] What the ... get out of here!

Scratch helping - apparently he just wants to watch.]
no subject
Hey! Come on, go away.
no subject
Now he's probably digging for food. Brock doesn't have to entertain, he's happy on his own.]
