takethat: Phoenix as he usually appears--bright eyes, happy smile. (sigh puff)

[Thanks to Larry not knowing how to operate a stepladder correctly, Phoenix is currently laid up in bed, blue cast on his right leg, and an endless stream of whining ever at the ready.

He's also incredibly bored. Painting and drawing got old long ago, and he can't seem to stay focused on anything he tries to read. Never mind that he could probably pretty easily get out of bed and actually do something despite his (not very severely) broken leg...

He whines, over-dramatic, into the journal.]

Don't trust Larry Butz, everybody... he'll just break your bones and make you miserable...

...on a related note, come and sign my cast.

[With a bit of apprehension, he adds a filter.]

Um... Trucy? ...mind keeping your uh... old man... company for a little while?

[Good lord but he feels ridiculous even asking this of a teenager he's only just recently met.]

'Tis only a week at most, yes?

[hey, did you know ponies heal super fast?]
doublethefun: (the fuck is this)

[personal profile] doublethefun 2012-10-04 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Verily? 'Tis most inefficient, I must admit.
doublethefun: (but on the other hoof)

[never mentioning that would be a great idea]

Depending on the health and the age of the patient, a broken wing can be healed in a few days.

It would provide thee with another method of locomotion.

Still, are there no healers about to speed up the process?
doublethefun: (welllll)

Quite likely, in fact. Magic is by no means the sole prerogative of the castle.

[hmmm] I would offer, but thou wouldst be as much experiment as patient.

[but hey, all mammals are alike, right?]
doublethefun: (nometh)

Thou wilt have to suffer a broken bone for 'four to six weeks.'

[teasingly] I am perfectly capable of nullifying mine own spells, Phoenix Wright.
doublethefun: (pony games like monopony)

[personal profile] doublethefun 2012-10-08 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[laughing] I am more than capable of such, but I assure thee, healing spells are rather different from transformation spells.

I shall see thee shortly.

[and soon enough, she clip-clops into the clinic with a smile of greeting]

I am one of the most proficient users of magic in Equestria, but I certainly shan't force thee to take part if thou dost not wish to do so.
doublethefun: (the slyest)

[personal profile] doublethefun 2012-10-09 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
[can ponies smell fear? Probably.] Relax, Phoenix Wright. I promise I will not hurt thee.

[there's a slight glow of her horn as her eyes drift out of focus. She spends a minute just examining, before the glow intensifies and then slowly dies down.]

Done. Thou shouldst heal in a week or two and nay, thou art not a pony.

The bones have already been set by - I would assume - some human more knowledgeable than I am in this particular field, so I merely used a healing spell to encourage the natural growth and repair of thy body.

[easy peasy one two threesy. She probably would've been extremely reluctant to mess around with bone setting though.]
doublethefun: (these spiders are anatomically incorrect)

[only if you quit being such a perfectly foalish foal about a little bit of magic. Sheesh.]

Think naught of it.

[bit of a headtilt] How did this occur?
doublethefun: (but I just want to be friends)

[personal profile] doublethefun 2012-10-11 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
[there's a sympathetic wince]

I have ne'er met this Larry Butz, but that doth not seem particularly logical. [i.e. she thinks he sounds like an idiot]
