[For once, Mufasa's not outside as he usually is. He's on the sixth floor, lying next to the portrait of Ashura. For having just experienced the same thing everyone else had, the lion seems placid as usual, a neutral smile on his face as he listens to the journal dictate. Briefly, a large yawn escapes him, resulting in a gentle chuff before he resumes listening.

Well, if such a thing is possible, you should visit Europa someday.

My homeland is Italia, a region in the south of Europa. We used to have lions, but they all went to Africa.

As humans settled more places, they vanished.

[That almost sounds like the humans who settled forced the lions out, but that was a ridiculous notion. There was simply no animal on earth that could hope to take territory from a pride of lions.]

It is, given how ferocious lions are. Some people still use them as mascots, though.
