[He wakes with a start, legs thrashing as they struggle to escape the unfamiliar fabric -- when was the last time he'd slept on a bed with actual sheets? -- and the bed is the first thing he notices. The second thing he notices is the black hardcover book on the pillow next to him; he is drawn to it, and promptly picks it up and thumbs it through somewhat disinterestedly.
Then it is tossed onto the hardwood floor, where it lies opened and face-down.
He sways slightly in his anger, putting the pieces together as he scrutinizes every aspect of the room he's woken up in, and then in a voice (inadvertedly picked up by the journal) as cold as ice:]
Captain, the next time you decide to remodel our entire base structure under my nose, it would be well of you to alert me beforehand.
[A pause as he looks at the stone walls again, then--]
And next time, I advise you to choose something less tacky. Kuuu~kukuku...

Um, I think there's a lot of people? It's hard to keep track really, but the journal is always making noise...

[Almost as if he just noticed he's been talking to a book for the past few minutes, he turns a few pages, staring at the entries intently.]
So what's with this journal, anyways? It appears to be a sort of inter-communication device.

Long time... How long? Are the people here just taken from their homes forever?
no subject
Well, I think some people have been here for years now! But apparently, sometimes the castle sends people home and then brings them back later with no memory!
... At least that's what I was told happened to me!
no subject
... Ah, that's all that happens? Kukuku, seems like no harm done. A bit of an inconvenience, but I might as well have some fun while I'm here, hm?
no subject
Yeah, it's a little inconvenient and the castle can be weird sometimes! Exactly! There's so many people here and I think there's a town outside the grounds.

Kuku. Sort of like a little vacation.
no subject
Kuku? That's a good way of looking at it!

Kuuu~kukuku! Glad you could help me out, then, Trucy Wright.

You're welcome! I've kind of been looking forward to being able to welcome someone to the castle!
no subject
Ahaah, how fortunate of me to be welcomed by such an individual such as yourself, then.

[He draws a finger across his neck in a swift motion, well-aware she cannot see him. Ahah, how to word this...]
Just cutting it off at the source. You get it..?

But now I think I'll be exploring the castle, this Paradisa. Who knows how long I'll be here for... Perhaps we'll run into one another at some point, hm?
no subject
You should try and find your room, and yeah we probably will do!
