[You find a book on a pedestal in the center of the lobby. It seems to have appeared out of nowhere, a subtle light shining down upon it as if begging to be opened.

Inside, pictures of a far off place can be found. It may seen familiar to some, and intriguing to others. Most importantly, written in big, bold letters are the words

"Once upon a time in the magical land of Equestria..."

What do you do?]

[As mentioned, it's a seemingly ordinary hardcover book. On the cover is a gold etching of a unicorn. Aside from its apparent age, there doesn't seem to be any reason why it would be on a pedestal.

I do believe so. Few modern books have that particular story, after all.

[aaand she'll open it up. Yup. It starts out exactly the same way as the one back ho - ]

[Spike will clamber up the pedestal to read it.] Wow it's exactly the same!

THE BOOK

[If Sheena hadn't left some important things here, she never would have been sidetracked by the strange book in the lobby. Curious, she opens it and begins reading.]

Find something interesting?

[Peering over her shoulder like the creeper he is, yep]

[She's pretty absorbed in the book, so she doesn't hear him approach, but his shadow warns her he's there. That doesn't stop her from starting slightly when he speaks before turning to him angrily.]

Do you have to do that?

[She's used to a creeper, but it's still irritating.]

[Smiles]

Do what?

[The fact that it bothers her only amuses him more]

You know exactly what--sneak up on people.

[He's lucky she didn't react in Zelos-mode; he'd have an elbow in his ribs for that bit of bothering her.]

So, did you need something?

I was just passing through, the same as you, I would imagine.

[He points at the pedestal]

The book is new.

I was headed to my room when I saw this.

[She follows his gaze and nods.]

You're right, it is. I don't remember it being here a few days ago.

Mean anything to you?

Not really. It is kind of unusual, though.

[Like a picture-book.]

Does it mean anything to you?

[madetosin]

Not at all. Though it certainly looks...important.

That's what I was thinking.

[Glances at the book.]

But it could also be a trick of the castle.

It could be.

[A small smirk]

[She sighs, but manages to avoid the required facepalm.]

Did you want to read over my shoulder as I looked at it?

Do I have any choice, really? [He sneaked up on her once--]

Come on. [And she approaches the book again, her hand on the cover.]

[And she opens the book, not even bothering to check to see if he's behind her.]

[Something glittering and bejeweled with a golden unicorn on the cover? This intriques london, even though it is a book. She smiles, carefully gliding her fingers over the glistening cover.]

[Kat's intrigued with the book as well; strange things showing up in Paradisa always piqued her curiosity, even if sh knew poking them was usually not the smartest idea.]

Um, have you seen how pretty this book is? Look! It even has a golden unicorn on it!

[Kat peers closer. Yes, that was pretty shiny, but she was more interested on what was on the inside.]

Yes, very nice. Does it say anything?

Well, probably. I mean, it is a book.

Oooh! Maybe it's a story book!

[Kat's leaning over and flipping it over herself.]

[London stands to the side, Letting the armored woman open the book.]

Oooh! I like your helmet. I can see my reflection in it!

[Kat's looking over the words until London's comment, and then she's slowly turning to face her. Her expression is unamused, thankfully hidden behind the visor.]

That's so my enemies can see the terror in their own faces before I cut them down.

But it looks like you're in luck; it's a storybook.

[London's expression was briefly one of terror until Kat mentions the storybook.]

Ooh, I knew it! It's about unicorns, isn't it?

[Yeah, she's a master at deductive reasoning.]

[Once again, Kat looks straight at London, wondering if this girl were for real.]

[In a flat, unamused tone. Maybe she could only understand the pictures ... ] Would you like me to read it to you?

[London thinks about that for a second. She likes reading story books, but honestly, it would be a lot faster if the armored lady did the honors.]

Hmmm, ok.

[Something's happening. You or someone else have just read the words on the page, and now there's a pink, sparkling glow about you. You feel yourself being pulled inside...

Try to fight it? Drag someone with you?]

[He shouldn't have read it, he shouldn't have read it, he shouldn't have read it! It was just too tempting to do so! And now he's struggling to stay away from the book that's pulling him inside!

He grabs from whatever he can--or whoever? Who did he just just grab, because whoever it is, he's dragging them with him!]

[And in they gooooooo~]

[When the portal opens, he was not quite expecting it to. Nor was he expecting for the ends of his scarf to get drawn in.

Okay, poor kid is now choking as he tries to resist getting pulled in himself while refusing to take off his scarf.]

THE PORTAL

[Oh, Sheena's in trouble now. The moment she feels that pull on her, she tries to close the book, but it's too late, and she's sucked in.

Either alone or with anyone who tries to grab her.]

[Garry is just walking by, considering the uses of blue velvet on shoes when he sees Sheena...wait, what IS SHE FALLING INTO A BOOK WHAT IS GOING ON.]

H-hey!!

[And he tries to grab her to pull her out, because falling into books must not be good for one's health, but he's quite surprised to find that he's being pulled in with her instead.]

[WELP THIS ISN'T GOOD]

[She turns as she's grabbed, shaking her head.]

Stop! You'll go, too!
