2nd Abnormality

Hello fellow residents. For those who don't know me, this time around, my name is Helen Magnus and I have a...request.

For the past few weeks, more than that actually I've been...
[A pause while she collects herself and reorganizes her thoughts]

I suppose this is best put bluntly. There is a young woman, twenty three years of age. Approximately five feet and six inches tall, blond hair and blue eyes. She is of slim build and, I must caution, a less than temperate disposition. She answers to the name of Ashley, she is my daughter.

[The writing it not the neat scroll usually accompanying her text, nor is the voice smooth and controlled. There is an edge to her that suggests...well, it just suggests.]

[...Oh. Oh this isn't good. And James sounds worried as he answers this, on top of sounding tired. This month just wasn't good for any of them, was it?]

Ashley isn't here, Helen.

She shouldn't be, there is no logically reason for it, I know. But...I've felt her, I've heard her voice. James, I would not have broadcast this without good reason.

[There's a faint note of desperation in her voice.]

[Don't tell him that, Helen. He's already feeling guilty about his castle induced nightmare, on top of Nikola's issues, on top of Mal's issues.]

Yet we haven't heard anything through the journals, [he thinks. He's only been paying attention for familiar voices.] and surely she would have found either of us by now.

Unless she can't! James people here are brought from states of life or death, we don't know exactly what happened to Ashley. She could be here and not know how to communicate or she may have suffered damage to her memory, she might be wandering lost and alone.

Helen Magnus

[unnaturalpause]

[Before going on with this, he writes in a filter. Because he doesn't need their argument broadcasted over the journal.]

No, Helen. From what I was told, she couldn't have survived what she did, and arriving here, you end up as you were before death.

Hasn't she contacted you yet?

James Holmes

[teratologist]

You don't know that! What happened to Ashely was a freak and isolated incident, it has never happened before, no one could know just what it might do. I've seen more than a few impossible things to just believe when someone tells me my daughter couldn't be somewhere.

No she has not, but she may not be in a position to be able to.

Helen Magnus (I am so used to filter screw ups by his username XD)

[unnaturalpause]

[And he's a dead man surviving without his suit, he gets it. But still.] Why hasn't she returned to you then?

[Easy enough question, right?]

She may not be able to, there are a thousand reasons, her imprinting, the effect of the source blood, the effect of the EM field.

[Her famous strength is crumbling, the cracks are starting to show]

I;m Helen Magnus, a scientist and I suppose guardian over abnormal life forms. May I ask who you are?

Helen Magnus

[unnaturalpause]

If she were able to, why not the others? [He knows about the attacks on the Sanctuaries, this makes it easier on him.

But because he's not entirely heartless, his voice softens.] Where are you? This is hardly a conversation to be done over the journal.

James Watson

[teratologist]

I don't know James, I don't know.

[That was accompanied by the sound of a fist slamming into wood.]

I'm getting things together to go out and search, again. For the moment I'm in my room.

Perhaps you should consider such things.

[And oh boy, he just sighs at that before gathering up a few things of his own to stick in his pockets and head down to her room. He doesn't answer the last bit of her journal, instead choosing to knock.

No matter how tired and grumpy he is over things recently, he can't really let this go.]

[Helen paused, shoved a final medical kit into a satchel and crossed to open the door.]

I know what you are going to say James, but she could still be out there. I have to try.

You may have met a previous version of me, I understand there may have been more than one. I don't recall meeting you myself.

[hullo_sweetie]

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're describing your daughter?

[unnaturalpause]

[He just crosses his arms over his chest at that, giving her a look.]

If the castle has brought her here, Helen, by it's own power there is a simple way to determine if it is true or not. [And he's just going to casually take the nameplate off her door before stepping inside, showing it too her.]

[teratologist]

[She watched him, but he was trying to offer logic in the face of sorrow and guilt.]

By it's own power, you are hinting at other possibilities. Do not tell me this isn't possible James.

[teratologist]

I am, have you seen any sign of her?

[unnaturalpause]

[Which is what he does, even though he's keeping his own feelings on this issue hidden. And he waves the nameplate around.]

There are other castles, but...[Ugh how do explain?] Have you heard about Libet, Helen?

That could be it.
If you met a little kid with blue hair a month or so ago that could have been it too. I remember only a little bit from that loss I was on
