[While hiking would be much better suited to her dear friend Jake, that doesn't mean Jane isn't one hell of a trooper about it! Besides, who wouldn't enjoy such a beautiful day?

In her backpack is plenty of cranberry-almond granola that she is more than willing to share if you ask, and she'll gladly chat with whoever asks.]

[ Nymeria can smell the treats and she approaches to poke her nose at Jane's backpack. She's only a four-foot-tall wolf-like creature. Nothing to be concerned about really. ]

[Jane feels her backpack shift, and she hums as she turns to check it out-

HOLY SHIT]

Uh...UH...

[Don't move Jane, maybe it won't eat you.]

Nymeria! Nymeria, to me!

[ One last poke at the backpack and Nymeria trots back to Arya. ]

Sorry.

[Jane watches the direwolf leave with wide eyes.]

Is - is the wolf yours?

Direwolf. [ That would be a yes. ]

Direwolf...?

[She looks at Nymeria curiously.] I've never heard of them before. Are they common where you're from?

No.

[Not very chatty, huh? Jane smiles anyway.]

Well, your Nymeria is very beautiful. You must take very good care of her.

I have to. She would start eating people if I didn't. [ Said completely matter-of-fact. ]

[After a moment, Jane nods very seriously.] I can believe that.

So what DO you feed her, if you don't mind me asking?

Meat.

[She nods.] Oh, of course. How silly of me to ask.

We're pretty lucky with the weather, aren't we? [ ~~When in doubt, talk weather!~~ ]

Seems like we're being treated to it to make up for the whole "pony" thing.

[While Jane doesn't know you, weather is a very neutral conversation starter! Besides, general first impression? You're nice.]

It's beautiful! Days like this really are a treasure.

You know, where everyone got transported to, uh, Equestria! And then turned into ponies...?

It really is! Ah, and I'm Jane, it's nice to meet you!

They did? Gosh, I don't think I went there with everyone! Were you all really ponies?

Hooves, four legs, tails and everything! Guess you didn't read the book then...

[Shakes head,] The only books I've been familiar with lately are cookbooks.

Where did the book come from, do you know?

No idea! It just turned up in the castle and if you read it, you got taken there!

I do! I've been looking for goodies to make for Halloween in particular.

[A chuckle.] That sounds like anything that happens in Paradisa.

Do people celebrate Halloween here? I'd completely forgotten about it! [ She bounces slightly on her feet, Halloween means scary tricks! ]

I know some people haven't heard of it, but I'm also sure most have, so I certainly hope they do!

Somebody told me that the castle will grant wishes! Maybe if someone wished for it, then it'd definitely happen!

Then there could be a big party with Halloween food and costumes!

[Jane crosses her arms.] It does, and I'm sure a party is well within its power, but I don't know how wise it is to just wish up a party. The castle has retaliated before.
