[and as previously promised, Oliver arrives with beer and cupcakes. He knocks on the door, then takes a step back to wait for her.]

[ a pause as she checks out the peephole, before yanking it open. ]

... Hey.

[He knows not to coddle her, not to swoop in with hugs and brushing his hand over her hair, because that will just add to the reality of it all. So, instead he just offers her a warm smile, lifting the beer and cupcakes.]

I'm a Boy Scout today. Very prepared.

[ While this isn't her usual haunt, Lana does know enough people who go here to actually check it out regularly, especially when patrolling. She stops when she sees Oliver, having been about to simply do a quick check and then leave.

After a moment's consideration, Lana steps up behind him to gently tap his shoulder. ]

Hey stranger.

[His hand settles around the edge of the glass, about to lift it for another drink when he feels someone walking toward him. He waits for the tap, just in case, then turns and smiles at Lana.]

You know, I would never consider myself a stranger. Maybe a hermit.

Well, I guess that makes two of us.

Are you saving that seat for someone?

[He glances to the seat and shakes his head.]

It is yours for the taking.

[ After sitting next to him, she just orders a sparkling lemonade. Tame! ]

So is this a sad or happy occasion?

This .. [he pauses and smiles at her.] A nostalgic occasion. I'm closing in on three years.

[ She needs a moment to recalculate everything. Still so easy to get confused... It feels like it should be longer. ]
