His journal lies open nearby--intentionally; he wants to be heard, and not only by anyone who might be in or around the Music Room--and it's only when he's quite through with the song that he speaks up.]
Pardon me, but I have a question. What sort of opportunities are there around here for musicians? Are there performing venues, or perhaps people hiring live music? I have quite a good ear for it!
